Blease expected to be fit and will play

Grimes being referred to as definitely playing

Language regarding Jordie McKenzie sounds like he is available - same for Joel MacDonald

Could be a very interesting team selection this week. There is no way there will be more than 2 changes after a win.

Grimes in for Dunn

Hopefully they don't drop Nicho (can't believe I just typed that but he was really good - even his kicking was good) and bring in Jordie.

Calling Brock McLean slow is hardly vitriol.

Slow is underrated. It's the players with quick minds with the peripheral vision and the quick hands out of packs who are the really 'fast' players.

Agreed, speed isn't everything. I reckon Sam Mitchell is the best ball user in th AFL, and he's definitely slow across the ground.

Magner is too slow for AFL footy.

You've got to be kidding, you didn't watch his two 20+ possession games? Had at least at least one chase down tackle.

You don't have to be quick to win a clearance, you have to be smart, and get to the right position!

Looks like Grimes will be back in. OUT Byrnes

And if blease is injured I'd be hoping they would be smart enough to bring in Magner.

Looks like Craig is going to play Barry and Davis at some stage, hence his press conference about having a look at MFC listed players who haven't played afl.

Davis deserves a run but I think they will leave Barry for next year, I would like to see Taggert though. Coming off illness last week he was slow to get into the game but had a good last Q.

As a matter of interest, what did this say before you edited it?

I'm guessing you're making a "bold prediction" that Melbourne will beat Sydney this weekend by 6 points. But what does the "I have just come back from" mean?

Time travel often can adversely affect the synapses, causing a disconnect between the hands (typing) and the brain (thinking).

Am a physiotherapist, and have seen lots of Lisfranc injuries over many years, to footballers largely. The treatment is just graduated progression, with anti-inflammatory support. Not corticosteroids though......there lies a slippery slope. MC is back running, and for all the right reasons, his fitness for next season is much more important than this.

Thanks Webber.

Sounds promising.

Cheers

“He’s been training fully for six weeks now, and he’s had two weeks of full contact training and hasn’t had a hiccup, so he’s in some really good nick

Sounds positive about Grimes. It would be good to have him back in the midfield.

Definitely don't think Sammy Blease will play. He was flying around the track today but then tackled Magner and hobbled off looking very upset.

His face always looks like that after physical exercise.

This whole event is news to magner. He recalls looking around at one stage because he thought he heard someone behind him but only saw Sam Blease limping away looking sheepish.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
