what condition is the old girl JR?

Mint or a project?

Still a project, wyl. When it's finished, it'll be a decent streeter, but not concourse. Might drive her to Perth. ;)

Suspension is brand new and bolted up, paint's off and now I have a blank canvas.

Needs some rust cut out, welding done and I'm refurbishing and rustproofing everywhere.

Having said that, on 3AW Mike Sheahan said that the Roos gig was as good as done.

Matthew Lloyd was excited for the club, but Richo less so. Queried the assistance given, considering the stuff ups of the past 10 years.

Sheahan reiterated Demetriou's words that the AFL needed a 'strong MFC.'

It's getting exciting!!

Old dee, you getting fired up? Jazza?

Apparently, Sheahan was seen sipping coffee with Paul Roos this morning. It's a guess but if that's true then his mail is spot on.

I still wonder if Mike Sheehan will join the board. Part Time position.

Could be good for both parties.

Saturday September 28.

Paul Roos to parachute into the MCG on Grand Final Day carrying the Premiership Cup. He will be wearing a MFC blazer, smoking a pipe and have Cameron Ling sitting on his lap.

C'mon MFC.... make this happen.

Those worried about the $2m price tag - it is never as high as it is first reported - and we will get 10k lapsed members just from his presence and sponsors will come out of the woodwork to have their name on his left [censored] if he is coaching the club.

He will bring in more than he takes.

I like how you put this because I was choking on the idea of 2mil. but I would think the sponsors would get on board and he would bring dollars in as you say.

The board is a part time position 'wyl'. He does have a lot to offer though I know others think not.

i know the Board is part time. That is why i said it.

Mike is still doing part time work. He has a lot to offer in that regard.

this is amazing

its like a dream

Also , $2 million per year sounds like a lot.. but it is actually small biccies when you consider all the extra members and the big time sponsors he will attract.

We are going t go from broke to swimming in money.

oh yeah and.. PETER JACKSON IS GOD

Timmy Watson just said on chan 7, from what he knows Paul Roos hasn't signed yet, but Melbourne are confident Roos will sign. Still not over the line yet guys.. We all know what happen with Ross Lyon last year.

West Coast frighten me. I need them to sign Warsfold already!

They have plenty of money aswel. I think we're home. Can't see the Paul Roos shifting his family arcoss the country.. Roos is a Melbourne boy aswel. Born and breed in Vic.

If Roos comes to the MFC, I feel on balance I could cope with 2013 and the:

Neeld coaching saga.

Watts's on and off form.

Opel sponsorship falling over (don't even raise the Energy Watch crud)..

The CEO debacle.

The president and board conundrum.

The remnants of the tanking unbecoming.

Trengove's tinea treatment.

MC's foot.

Other team injuries.

Our general skill level.

I was watching the open mike with RF on you tube and thought it was interesting RF's comments about how Swooper built on what Barassi did after he stripped all the paint and putty off the team, I'm hoping Roos can build on some edicts laid down about fitness by Neeld and Mission.

I would like to see Peter Jackson standing on the flight deck of a aircraft carrier under a banner that reads MISSION ACCOMPLISED. Damn I have seen that somewhere before.

No worries.

Massive mildly worked 202 with 4 on the floor, rofl.

Those Fords are magnificent, but outta my price range.

Apparently, Sheahan and Roos were picking their best Melbourne team.

Don't think this article really has anything new (is it confirmed that he met with the leadership group)

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
