Dunno what I feel, but I have more faith in him than anyone else at the club right now.

Or maybe it's just because he's the only one there that hasn't burnt me (us).

I feel a sense of relief that the running of this club is in the hands of people from the outside of this old empire.

IMO, we have been run by way too many from within our own ranks, blind leading the blind.... we've learnt nothing in the past by getting our own to make the big decisions, whether that be selecting coaches or the coaching panels...

& to think we insulted Sheedy back in 2007, & C Hutchison bobbed up from within a wheelie bin to wish him a happy birthday... how was it that Hutchy knew where to be that day? & which bin to scrounge in?

I am just happy that Gary Lyon isn't stuffing us up any longer and is not involved. To have a former football director consistently tip against Melbourne each week must be seen as such a slight to both coaches and players alike!

Yet, ironically - we have treated virtually all of our senior players with disrespect over the past decade or so.

Just wondering how everyone feels & thinks, about the new CEO, Peter Jackson? And his experience & judgement to take make us strong again?

I don't believe in superstars,

Organic food and foreign cars.

I don't believe the price of gold;

The certainty of growing old.

That right is right and left is wrong,

That north and south can't get along.

That east is east and west is west.

And being first is always best.

But i believe in Pete

No faith in anything anymore except the promise of death one cold grey day.

What point is there?

It's all a vain struggle against the inevitable .

Hope this Stoic reality provides you all with some solace .

Thanks for the positivity Biffo. It really lifted my flagging spirit.

I don't know that he's enacted any decisions Yet?

Well has organised an extension to his contract.

Should redo this poll at the end of the season if Neeld is still head coach, or gets a contract extension

I will be honest I thought Peter Jackson was basicaly playing musical chairs (comes in for Schwab and then leaves in 6 months). I underestimated the ability/power of a CEO and thought he would basicaly do very little. Well looks like I was wrong - CEO's seem to be the spine of the football club (who would have guessed judging by Schwabs known influence). He seems to be willing to make the decisions that for so long we haven't been able to make. Although I am now skeptical - how much power does this guy have? can we put our faith in basically one person who seems to report to a board meeting once a month?

Anyway ............. Let the heads roll Jackson!

In relation to the above Poll...If you voted Yes to the first Question, you must have faith in what he will do.

How can 3 people vote Yes to 1 & No to 2....

"It just don't add up...." :)

Sorry WYL, whilst there are negative nellies like yourself posting on this board, using 'facts' gleaned from the likes of Caroline Wilson, I am afraid I am here to stay, to provide a more balanced view to the long sufferiing readers of this board, who may be at the moment under the impression that the lifeboats are overflowing.

Anyway back on topic, the negativity displayed by your self and other posters can lead some to assume that Peter Jackson will not achieve anything, personally I don't belileve this, I think it is a very good step forward by the much maligned board, to give some stability to the administrative side of the Club.

From what I have read/heard/been told/seen/etc we have got ourselves a highly experienced first class operator on board, who will not be rushed by anybody, but in time will stop the Club from wobbling as it is hit by the latest media driven tsunami

Negativity comes from failure and defeat, supporters have every right to feel that way, maybe we should all hold hands and walk to the G on Monday, for Christ sakes open your eyes.

FWIW i'd hope every melbounre supporter going to the game participates in the Walk to the G, regardless of whether you are star struck by the playing group and blind to reality like Satyricon, or bitter and twisted about previous admins like yourself

Who said i was negative towards Peter Jackson being in the building? Best thing to happen to the club in years. You are a fool, because you do not read. You spout club spin just like Chemical Ali did back in '91.

If you think our latest tsunami is just Media driven theni consider you the negative one around here.

GO AWAY.

Chemical Ali, that's a good one, I thought you were the one that was actually displaying behaviour that could suggest you are under the influence of pharmaceuticals, told you before WYL ain't going anywhere whilst you and your ilk post on this board

The sky is not falling WYL, you don't have to put your finger in the dyke, and it is just a large friendly dog at the door

Didn't say you were negative about Peter Jackson, said you were a negative nellie, read WYL read, you must really miss Rangey, you pop ur head up above the parapet and there is nobody there with you, although I must say Rangey used to duck way before you did, perhaps your reflexes are a bit slow

The media, there were 3 pages in the AGE yesterday that said exactly the same thing that the previous 15 they have published did

FWIW i'd hope every melbounre supporter going to the game participates in the Walk to the G, regardless of whether you are star struck by the playing group and blind to reality like Satyricon, or bitter and twisted about previous admins like yourself

I am not blind to reality, although I must say in my advanced years and in a certain light, some of the players look really good, I just prefer to listen just to the people that actually matter and try and put another viewpoint against the barrage of negativity that a small minority of posters bombard this board with.

Peter Jackson has made one public statement up to now, so let's wait for the next one and not listen to what the media said he said or did on Monday

I will be walking to the G, and I agree everybody should, I'll hold hands with anybody that wants to

The only long suffering readers are us having to put up with your ongoing posts Satyriconhome.

Pick your battles mate.

People are allowed to have an opinion (unfortunately). WYL always goes on about tanking and 186. I like to call him out on it but once you've got your point accross and you keep on posting about it endlessly you start to look like a hyprocrite because now you're the broken record.

Again, pick your battles (now I sound like a broken record...)

just go back to Clown School with your genetic twin Dr. Who please.

33 wins since 2007...back to large debt. It is reality not negativety & the sooner it sinks into thick skulls like yours the quicker it can be averted.

Seasons 2011 2012 2013 have been an absolute disaster and if you want to disagree i pity you.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
