fatmanblues, I use iphone app called photo transfer to get pics onto computer. Then I upload them to a site called Imageshack. Once they are there you select an image to get a direct link (a complicated set of letters and numbers ending in .jpg). You can copy and paste this link on Demonland by clicking on the image button where you write your reply to the topic. Hope this helps

A great turn up today to training.

Those who organised it should be congratulated, they do a great job and support the club week in week out.

All the faithful who turned up in support also deserve a pat on the back - an enjoyable atmosphere for the fans, as was intended.

Well done.

Great turnout today - a shame I had to leave early.

If there was one thing that Demonland lacks it is the ability to directly upload photos - it is just to time consuming and complicated for many.

Anyway great atmosphere and thanks for the people who organized it - i really thought it was a message to the club/players and it proved to me that this is no ordinary club for we have a supporter base that is more passionate than any other club!

Had chat with Don Mclardy. Nice guy, was happy to chat. One thing of interest was that they were confident with getting someone for the CEO position in a timely manner, and that they are very aware that they need someone who can hit the road running.

To the organisers a good idea that worked I believe.

Surprised to see CS there with the MFC tie.

Looked very relaxed, probably feels all the pressure has been lifted.

IMO the players seem to appreciate it.

It was easily the most enjoyable thing I have done in 2013 with the MFC.

Perhaps we should just train and leave the weekend games to other teams.

Sorry just a small joke.

Hope it shows on Saturday with an improved result.

Go Dees

Damn had to leave before training was finished.

The players certainly looked sharp but without a comparison to other teams it is hard to quantify how sharp.

Tappy as someone else has already said looked on fire. Hope this transfers to Sat. Dawes looks about ready to play - running freely. I wish he was playing at Casey this week for a bit of game time.

Jack G had a big grin running around prior to training.

Spoke to Don and Peter Spargo on my way out and they both said how fantastic for the Club that the supporters came out today. It was great to see the young kids there as well.

Suggested to Don that we need some of the past players involved with the membership drive and in the mmebership tent. Supporters love speaking with past favourites. Promised to speak to the appropriate person. He also confirmed that there will be past players at the game on Saturday.

All this would not have been possible without the impetus from WW and W. Well done.

Was absolutely brilliant seeing so many people turn up this morning. The look on the players faces when the club song was being sung as they were walking out was priceless. I'm sure they appreciated the efforts of everyone today.

Well done guys :)

If the Don has been considering/talking about the CEO's position for some time now (as he said in the presser) they should already have an idea of who is out there. I hope we know what we are doing!

As for CS I did not see him at training but probably would have gone up to him and given him a pat on the back if I did. I know he is a passionate Dee and tried to do the right thing ..... but it didn't work out and now he has paid the price. I would have said - I hope he sticks around but then the reason we are getting rid of him is because of his haunted shadow......... so do we want him at training?

That was probably due to Jack Grimes new three year contract (hope the players/club repay his faith)

Good work to all of those who attended training today and and very well organised by the people that made this happen.

I cant say I was one of those who attended due to work but its good to know that 200 odd people were able to take some time out from their day to support our beloved club in a time of need.

Also great to hear Cam Schwab was there despite his departure, no matter whether we do or dont rate the guy or what the players think of him and what he has done at the end of the day he did what he believed what was best for the club.

Cheers

A group of Melbourne fans also gave the team vocal support at Friday morning's training session.

It was a pleasant surprise for Neeld and his players, who were booed after the last two losses.

Neeld admitted he did not expect such support and called it fantastic.

"That was great, the show of support from the fans," Neeld said.

"The playing group certainly enjoyed that, training in front of some genuine support.

"They made a lot of noise and made everyone feel good about themselves."

Isnt it great that we have an oval that feels like a footy oval and not a park with line markings. To be able stretch on a fence, get you fans on the fence watching you, having a fence to show you where the boundary line is.

Gents, just got back and having lunch whilst typing this, promised this to Lifelong Demon

There are normally 5 or 6 and a stray dog at training, today wasn't good, it was magnificent.

Some admin out of the way first, Cameron Schwab has tatts, I know, now get over it., Travis Johnstone was there, he is not playing footy at the moment, enjoying being a parent, just wanted to show support, he had a good chat with Cameron Schwab and Flash.

Being known has it's benefits

Josh Mahoney - had a good chat with him, yes he totally understands how the supporters feel, he feels the same way, they are working to get if fixed, liked the way Casey played last weekend, that is style they are looking at. The Footy Dept know they are under the pump, but united

Flash Davey - pumped to be back in the side, again understands the supporters frustration, absolutely rapt with the turn out, promised me another goal from the boundary this week, just wants to play

Nev Jetta - you know I have to speak with him, rapt to be back in the side but you can tell he thinks he deserved it, looking fwd to having a real crack (surprise, surprise),

"Pickles" Evans - same as Nev, I congratulated him on his game at Casey and getting back from serious injury, asked me would I like to see the same run, I said yes

Col Sylvia for Col Sylvia was very subdued, thanked me for showing up, perhaps this is the new Col who knows it is now or never, very serious

Jack Trengove - same, humbled by how many supporters turned up, looking forward to cracking in tomorrow

Jack Viney - tweeted yesterday for movie recommendations, I asked him what he had watched after I told him I was going to recommend a romcom but thought better of it, he watched Snow White and the Huntsman, "you need an action film before the game", I would adopt him if I could

Had an open and frank discussion with Nathan Jones about the media, most of which if I wrote it down would be nothing but those (censored) thingys, he desperately wants to repay the supporters

Somebody has already posted about Tapscott''s demeanour, I congratulated him on two things going back to Casey and not spitting the dummy and playing like he should to come straight back in, told me was going to give it everything tomorrow.....said that to my face.....I believe him

Jack Grimes - was another who I think was humbled by the turnout and another who desperately wants to turn it around, repeated, and we all saw it this morning, they don't train poorly, they just need to take it onto the field, all united

And finally Jack Watts (still full bearded thankfully), got a big smile, an arm around my shoulder and a thanks for being there, maybe a couple of weeks away from the spotlight will be what he needs to get back into the form he was showing last season

Also spoke to a couple of the boys playing for Casey tomorrow, Clisby, Kent and Taggert, really confident, Kent was a bit disappointed with the standard of VFL, thought it would be higher, desperate to crack a spot in AFL side, he looks even bigger than when I chatted to him just after he was drafted

If I think of anything else will add it

Great report Satyriconhome... being able to get along to training on only very rare occasions, it's nice to be able to get a sense of how it felt to be there today! Hope to catch up again in July when I next head down.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
