God i hope the paul roos rumour has some truth to it right about now!

AFL intervention might be our best chance of surviving.

I've stuck with Neeld and trusted him for the last couple years, but I'll be amazed if he survives the aftermath of this (presuming we continue playing like this)

This has been enough to change my stance. Neeld has to go.

Jackson's first move will be to get an experienced head of the FD, a Balme type but who is available??? and then address the coach. Well that was before 4.40pm today, he may not have a choice now.

I'll accept a loss when I know the team isn't good enough

But this result has nothing to do with that - Can't support this effort level. Lack of tackling, inability to use team mates, lack of intensity no accountability and not turning up from qtr 1 are in-excusable

I've been against emotional rash decisions but this is crap, it's f'ing Gold coast and they can't lay a tackle or hit a target

Enough is enough - whatever the result RIP MFC

Jack what do you consider to be Neeld's three best achievements?

Clark

Hogan

Viney

Three decisions you could argue would have been made under any coach, especially Hogan and most especially Viney.

I can list 49 bad decisions from Neeld on the other hand. Starting with our trading and recruiting this off season.

Boomer Harvey made the point - every player is different, and the coach has to deal with each one as an individual; people skills, Boomer stressed. Surely we've now learned that this must be part of the discussion, whenever we next interview for a coach.

New coach probably comes in with a priority pick plus jesse hogan plus a reasonable list and another draft pick if jack watts is traded, that's something at least

FFS, this is the worst coaching performance I have ever seen. The players are playing with no spirit, no confidence, and breathtaking incompetence.

Please for the sake of our club, cut out the cancer, save our club, get rid of this hopelessly under qualified coach.

I demand the board dump him forthwith,

Clearly when people said he had lost the players it was an accurate assessment. They just arent trying. Either that or our list is much worse than I could imagine. Either way you could argue that both would be at least partially Neeld's fault.

I've been in the 'give it time' camp, but I think the bell has been well and truly rung. Sure, other teams have been beaten by GC, but not smashed in every area of the game.

Jack Watts will not be traded, he's a required player

We could lose this by 100 points if we aren't careful, i actually can't see any excuse they could possibly give to keep Neeld on after this, and i have supported him in the past.

Supporters deserve better than this disaster of a team.

well done jack viney though, just hope he isn't made captain during the week.

Practising hand balling at half time on the oval. Amateur hour.

That is just embarrassing.

Time to bring in a seasoned coach.

Wherenhas our flair gone. We have hardley any player playing with natural instincts. I think Neeld has over coached these guys and they are too scared of doing whats natural

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
