Last pre-season, we started ok and then got walloped in our last 2 and it set the tone for the start of the year. The wins and losses aren't important, but the effort and performance is, and if we get a 10 goal hiding here today as it looks like we are going to, it doesn't look good for Round 1, let alone when we play some decent teams.

Knowing how much Neeld talks about stopping the rot when the opposition get a run, I think he will be seething at that quarter. We have to find a way to get our hands on the footy and control the game a bit more. Hopefully they can make amends in the second half.

Stop freaking out people. We were bottom 4 last year, i expect improvement this year but nothing to drastic.....people need to be realistic about us this year, plus it is still preseason.

Its going to take us a few years before we build a decent midfield, Viney and Toumpas will need time to develop.

Sadly our brigade of second stringers just cant match with the elite of the competition.

Frawley came back on towards the end of that quarter. looked like he copped one in the stomach.

was also good in that qtr to see tiumpas chip a fullblooded kick in the face but managed to dust himself off and get on with it.

Matt Jones did well that half.

Firstly, it's hilarious that anyone is giving any significance to the NAB Cup. The only thing that would be more of a p!sstake than us losing is us winning today!

Secondly, I am not sure how much proof people need that we are a revolting footy side? We have no midfield. We will finish 17th this year, with only GWS behind us.

I still have hope that we will unearth a good midfielder from our list (Taggert, Kent, Jetta, tapscot, blease etc)

But yer definitely our biggest worry and whats holding us back from wining a flag in the next 3 years, need to get some quality mids like ball through free agents
