I'll have a blind shot at it.

4. Melbourne (GWS compensation - Tom Scully) - Wines

5. Western Bulldogs - O’Rourke

I want to pose another question, what would the top 10 look like if the draft wasn't compromised, i.e no 17 year old selections last year and no father son.

So the actual ten best undrafted 18 year olds in order, as opposed to factoring in club selections.

Would it be something like:

1. Whitfield

2. Daniher

3. O'Meara

4. Toumpas

5. Crouch

6. Grundy

7. O'Rourke

8. Viney

9. Wines

10. Plowman

Let's not confuse the thread TLE. Suggest start a new one if you want to ask that question.

This is my tip for the top 10 in the 2012 AFL National Draft. I think that GWS have more than enough midfielders and they will take Grundy to help their ruck stocks and Plowman to help their embattled defence. Leaving the Demons to swoop on Toumpas.

1) Whitfield (GWS Giants)

2) Grundy (GWS Giants)

3) Plowman (GWS Giants)

4) Toumpas (Melbourne Demons)

5) O'Rourke (Western Bulldogs)

6) Stringer (Western Bulldogs)

7) Wines (Port Adelaide Power)

8) Macrae (Brisbane Lions)

9) Menzel (Richmond Tigers)

10) Daniher (Essendon Bombers)

Either way, I'll be happy with the Demons getting either Toumpas, Wines or O'Rourke with our number 4 pick.

Is Toumpas an inside-outside dynamic midfielder?

Because that is what we need. Outside of that I want the hardest inside mid out there.

We need some explosiveness in our midfield - but through a bloke who can win his own footy.

If we dont take Wines it would surely be one of the biggest draft surprises since Freo took Hill over Rich in 08. Nearly every news source claims we are into him in a big way so unlikely they are all wrong.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
