THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

Sensational. We have come such a long way. I was actually blown away by the preparation of the various activities and the then the review of them. I had no idea.

I was team manager of the senior side in 1979. In those days it was a run in the pre season and some drills. Then some match practice. Then maybe a smoke or a burger with the lot and fries plus maybe a thick shake. This is light years away from that.

I enjoyed some of the minor things in the photos. I liked seeing the healthy lunch provided to the boys. I also noticed a photo where Watts had his arm around Neeld. That to me signals a new relationship between the players and the Coach.

It is clear from that article that no stone is being left unturned in order for us to succeed. I feel proud to be a member of this club and I know success will come. Go Dees.

BTW, CW, you can get stuffed, with all your negativity towards us.

PS . I am going to email Emma on a great football article.

Brilliant insights. No true MFC supporter could help but be excited about what's happening at our Club. The sheer professionalism of the operation is amazing. I know we are heading in the right direction, and can't wait for the NAB Cup and beyond.

@CarowhineWilson Hear your workplace behavior is 'untenable' & 'bullyish'? Well that's just hearsay but figured I'd tweet it regardless

I think it's funny that at 3 the boys have a sleep. It's like they're little children and I wonder if Neeldy says ok boys sleep time im turning off the lights now.

Have no issue with it and it shows just how much he plans for our club. I wonder if Bailey put in half of this much preparation.

Patience Grasshopper...We must strike at the right time. We may only get one shot at nailing it properly.

Yes Master. We will wait patient like the budgie and cunning like the Wombat. When the time is right we will strike with the speed of a fat lazy Labrador in need of a feed. Our enemies will be vanquished.

it shall be a gloriuos day to see Wilson & Rita Panahi (wilson's greatest allie)

Being shot down on TV, Radio & the print media's.

the very place where they collect their pay cheque from....panihi is another MFC hater & a very good reason to hate Hawthorn.

Who would take any notice of what Rita Panihi says anyway. She is such a know all and knows nothing about football. I take less notice of what she says than "Kero" (love that). I am absolutely dumbfounded she could be on a sports radio station. She is a social commentator (she has to be blonde - apologies to all the blonds on demonland) not a sports commentator and I think SEN could no better than getting Emma Q on to comment on football like her ladyship does on AW

I was listening to SEN this morning and the panel which included Hutchy and a couple of others including Liam Pickering were having some fun at the cattish way Wilson tried to fob off Pickers during the week over his criticism of her Dane Swan comments. She's becoming an object of derision in the industry.

It's funny as all of the journo's on that station have said a number of times that Caro has had the best 6 months of footy journalism by anyone ever.... yet the footy people deride her.

Logically Wilson's next article should be " The MFC Investigation finished Anderson"

I refuse to believe that the fact that Adrian Anderson is leaving in the midst of the MFC tanking investigation is purely a coincidence. He has said that he has nothing else in the pipeline. If you were confident of a clear "worthwhile" outcome wouldn't you want to finish what you have started ?.

As he has demonstrated with the tribunal, Anderson is driven by a desire to replace subjective judgment with black and white rules. To him, there is a point at which "tanking" crosses a clear line from 'list management' to 'result rigging' ....... and he has been driving the investigators to find that point ( even though no such point exists!). In doing so he has dug the AFL into a big hole - and put it into a position which will damage its reputation whatever it concludes about Melbourne.

I reckon Demetriou would have dismissed McLean's comments as the jaundiced view of a player whose future in the team was threatened by arrival of a group of young talented midfielders - but Demetriou was away and Anderson jumped in boots and all. I wouldn't be surprised if this drove a wedge between them ........... which was instrumental in Anderson moving on.

You'd think Caro would be on to this. But that would force her to admit that the investigation was always going to finish in 'no mans land' - that ' criminal tanking' can never be proved - and to do that would contradict the guilty verdict she pronounced all those weeks ago .Accordingly she has said nothing.

I have no inside information on any of this. I just can't believe that the timing of this surprise announcement is pure coincidence - and nothing else. I think Caro would have the same suspicions - but she can't pursue them because they shoot her own argument in the foot.

The slander against my good name is preposterous.

I have seen photographs and it is impossible for me, a dark, handsome and well bred Spaniard to make ficky, ficky with this person.

Could I suggest this is a case of mistaken identity? Perhaps, my very good friend Manuel from Barthelona?

Former champion golfer and journalist jockey, Seve Ballesteros.

"Make ficky ficky", I like that. Might use it.

There is no good reason to hate the mighty Hawks.

They are everything the MFC should aspire to be.

Wealthy, Powerful, take no prisoners , win at all costs, regular finals participants and GF winners.

Caro's boat is sinking fast.

Its gone from pre-meditated, organised and systematic tanking from the top in the official "vault" to a discussion in a tin shed and finally to a joke between two people.

What happened to all those sources, what happened to all those facts, what happened to the presumption of innocence?

Somehow after all of this I know she will manage to weasle her way out of any wrong doing, and will never admitt that she was wrong and we always tanked.

but I dont think Anderson leaving is connected, he was a necessary evil, and now there is nothing more for him to do.

Don't want to be a nit picker as far as the Age is concerned and I do enjoy the PSSST column on the back page of Age that incorrectly claims Jason Pongracic of the Stingrays was drafted last month. This would probably come as a surprise to Jason who was, in fact overlooked, but is still hoping to be picked up in the rookie draft.

Yet another fine article by Emma Quayle in the Age today. She writes simply and honestly without any suggestion of vitriol or hatred and dare I say she knows her stuff. She's coming to get you kero !

P.s. she has such a lovely smile as well, unlike Kero who looks like someone has rubbed a dog turd under her nose.

Right on track re Quayle. Positive factual well researched stuff.

And I love your description of the sad, bitter, malicious Ms Wilson - I have been trying to find a way of describing her countenance without appearing sexist of misogynist (conventional definition) and that is just spot on.

There is no good reason to hate the mighty Hawks.

They are everything the MFC should aspire to be.

Wealthy, Powerful, take no prisoners , win at all costs, regular finals participants and GF winners.

They had the best draft Zone in the 70s and 80s.

They have had a lot of success and have produced some absolute Champions over the years.

They are a club that is starved of pain and failure and disappointment.

Their supporters are generally arrogant tossers who expect a free kick every 5 seconds and whinge when they dont get it .

I want to see them suffer for as long as possible.

I despise them.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
