And so far this season Facebook has been far more accurate than the papers! Pies would prefer their defects going to a lowly club rather than playing them in finals..

Gobbles on Twitter just reported that Wellingham has chosen West coast as the club he wants to go to.

Dosn't mean squat who he chooses if WC cant get the deal done and they have gone cold on him apparently.

Just like last year when Clarke chose Fremantle.

He isn't a free agent...

I won't lose any sleep over that. Means we are less likely to be stupid giving a high draft pick. Now we can look at a player swap for Dawes. Who do Pies want, that's right a ruckman forward?

They also may need a Key Back with the retirement of Tarrant. I'm not sure if they have a replacement at VFL level. The pies were opened up too many times with big scores kicked on them.

Denham seems hell bent on reporting negatively on the dees. He hates us and his views on the club were negative years ago almost to an emotional degree. A guy who claims to know him on Facebook suggested he was entertaining the idea

Seriously I don't think any media dudes actually hate us? How can you claim this? Fact is Melbourne have massive deficiencies and have done for many years and these media Guys simply point it out. Lets face it we stuff up consistently. Without delving into that or the reasons for this or that lets simply accept the Dees have been far from great the past few years and no spin can alter this.

Off topic I'm really split with this Dawes/Wellingham situation and am prepared to back our Coach. Neeld's the one cleaning the slate here and it's ultimately his call. Who cares what Denham, Lyon, Sam Newman or any other report says.

Nah den ham hates us. Not sure why but he continually puts the boots in. I reckon when he was younger a dees player stole his gfriend or kicked his cat or something. His hatred is bordering on pathological...

Do we want this dud anyway?

Fake glasses wearing hipster [censored].. more concerned about coking it up with buddy and the like.

He reminds me of the kid who'd get beat up at school..

and b-grade at best atm.. even coming from the filth midfield- he's behind jones, grimes and jordie in rank imo..

..and denham t.p.man, everyone knows he hates MFC, he just does.

he'll walk past me on the street one day with any luck.

Hearing that Wellingham doesn't want to come to the club is a big relief for me and has started my day off well!

I really wonder how interested we were/are?

I am not sure that he is the sort of bloke that Neeld would want to pursue too hard.

you might be right Demon Dan!

Haven't followed that one too closely..you're probably right..

Mate, just lays the boots in at every opportunity..

Its sad really,

because when carry that much poison around with you - inevitably youre the one that gets sick!

Which in turn, could be a good thing, as it is greg denham were talking about!

lol..

I agree. Denham doesn't hate Melbourne. He has zero respect. He treats Melbourne with contempt, but it's not hate.

Yeah he hates Melbourne, any chanse we gets on KB's show he will bag us. People have called up and asked him why he hate us so much and he says he doesnt, he just dosnt like teams at the bottom but I have never heard him say anything bad about any other club just Melbourne.

I wonder what the reason is? Maybe he got raped by a guy with a Melbourne jumper on once. Who knows?

His a [censored].

Well there you go!

Bens rushed in and saved the day and corrected our erroneous chatter..

Yay, thanks ben!

No need for thanks, although I acknowledge the gesture.

You're as thick as a brick mate, so I think of it as my civic duty.

Reports are collingwood want Koby Stevens and a draft pick....still a lot to work out here

sure there is. But he will end up there. It will be sorted.

Hang on...didn't Mitch say he wanted to go to Freo?

Agreed, also West Coast do not need another midfield type player.. with players like Gaff, Shuey, Embley, Rosa,Kerr still going, Masten starting to deliver, Priddis and Scott Selwood. There is a very long shot they are going to give away a pick.

I think they'd like some more fresh inside IT on the pies for next year, as the pies now have the 'Q' stick.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
