Average players have been allowed to win the B & F for too long is your answer.

Awesome. It will take something special to top this as the most important announcement.

Few more... (Reverse order if you're playing along at home)... Gawndog, what a legend!

McKenzie has won the award 3 years in a row and speaks of the honour and how great the coaching staff has been.

The Norm Smith Memorial Trophy also known as the Coaches Award is presented by Mark Neeld to Jordie McKenzie for encapsulating Norm's values

Gawn reflects on his community work and looks forward to getting back on the field. He manages to crack a few jokes in true Gawny style!

Gawn says he is also prepared for a Gold Logie speech!

Josh Mahoney presents the award to Max Gawn for his work in Darwin, local football, volunteering in schools, hosting Club events and more.

The Ian Ridley Club Ambassador Award is about acknowledging someone who goes above and beyond in the community and on the field.

Grimes says the day Neeld told him he was Co-captain was the proudest day of his life.

Jordie Mac- what a teacher's pet he is! :P

Says a lot that two very different group of coaches have awarded him the same award, and that Neeld signed him for 3 years.

There is clearly something very special about him.

Funny that the Best First Year Player became Best Young Player in the year where we only had three 'first year' candidates and two of them played five games between them!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
