The Big Q and Clark? Good luck fighting those guys.

If we do get him, hope we also get a small forward or two to feed off their crumbs.

do i dare suggest that what a Rodan like player would be ?

its just a point of thought...lol

Lynch has got to be a massive bonus. Also take pressure off Watts. Those who expect Watts to be the burst through, break up packs type player then think again. It's not his go and I hope he's not forced into playing that role. Watts is the silky skill type guy and we need him to stay on the track. QL on the other hand can play that role and it's go Dees charge toward the 8 if we pick him up!!

This is a big get for Melbourne if rumours are true. Totally under-rated player. A lot better then Wooden-Hands-Cloke.

Something to store in the memory bank for future, if Q comes to Melbourne then Richo's comment on Grand Final day proves he has a very unreliable source.

sorry off topic...

thats a Pearler  of an avatar btw QBW...lol

This would be huge for us if he does make the decision to come. Will make the climb back up a lot easier over the next two years.

You're right. We need to show immediate improvement to lift our morale and give us hope. Winning a few more games would be a great start. So what if players like Lynch are not with us when our 'window' period arrives. If we are only interested in recruiting youngsters who will still be with us then, I would have to ask 'Are they born yet?'

Folks!!!

If we got Lynchy then the crumbers we thought never existed all of a sudden exist. Mids will lift, Jamar can run back and defend more instsead of pushing forward. The whole game changes :) Didn't notice crumbers because 2012 was a bum fight to get the ball oft the opposition. J. Howe can then play a different role and vets like Davey will instantly have a new zest for footy..

BH and some others ( just using BH as example, nothiign more ) have noted that the change of fortunes might not take such a deviant ( wayward ) path as some suspect if IF... a few of the right type of key types can be bought on board.

Bolstering the sharp end as well as beefing up/ skilling up/speeding up the midfield would all but throw this team into a 180 !! subsequent planting of foot would provide rapid results.

I see the glove as being such a key recruit

Quinten Lynch has knocked back an offer to play for Melbourne & the pies have tabled a 2 year deal worth $280,000 a season which Lynch will accept. The deal will be finalized \

If we got Lynchy then the existing crumbers are already there. Didn't notice them this year because no one to crumb off. Howe can then play a different role and vets like Davey will instantly have a new zest for footy..

I wouldnt call Howe a crumber.. and hes probably going to spend more time in the midfield I suspect. Davey has been the project boy. Hasnt worked yet.

I suspect theyre shoppping for some economical insurance

Definitely mixed messages coming through, I must say if it were me I'd go to the Pies with them being in the window despite the lesser money. But I guess all will be revealed shortly.

I Like what BB59 said.

If it comes off let's see what the BIG MOUTH Denham says now.

After declaring he was 99.9% signed by the pies.

The guy is a flamin Turkey of the lowest order.

Don't think Lynch is coming to Melbourne.

Dees citing a few quick mids mainly. But were hoping to land a big fish like Lynch to have another target up forward. Dawes to Melbourne possible.

We have the draft for that, 3, 4 and 13 on middies

Absolutely we do. As we have had before. Waiting, waiting.......... still waiting. I am talking about the trade, not the draft, where the kids drafted will necessarily take time to come on. Not sure another 3-5 years of "waiting" is sustainable for this footy club.

If we only got 2-3 years out of him as a stop-gap and drafted Hogan to replace him down the track I would be very happy.

Do you think we're not going to go after midfielders as well and use our draft picks on them? Lynch will cost us nothing except a spot on the senior list.

Could well be the plan, lets wait and see.

Yes agree Bubsy re: Howe. Not a crumber but has potential to do anything and other things not just taking screamers. Imagine Lynch and Clark(if his foot is ok) with Howe around a bouts? A Lynch type presence will transform Davey and definitely prolong his career. Hope we get Lynch

Cudi..

Dawes is not up to it. Rather go the youth path. Perhaps I've missed something with Dawes?

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final.
