How many changes to the list?

A little light entertainment and brevity amongst the doom and gloom.

Pick a number any number. That number is from the net change to our list from 2012 to 2013.

Keep in mind there are NO rookies in 2013. Currently there are 46 players. next year there will only be 40 (I think this is right, feel free to correct me )

So I think the logical way to call this is how many names from the total list(s) will remain on the list for 2013.

Im going with 31 players will be the same.

Along with Lawrence, Green, Jurrah & Moloney the other player who will make way I'm thinking will be:

Petterd (trade/delist)

Martin (trade for the right price)

Bate (Free Agent)

Bennell (trade/delist)

One of Cook or Davis (delist and the other will be luckyp)

Williams (delist)

So I'm thinking it will be 10 out.

I also reckon Bartram will be delisted and re-rookied so that's why I haven't included him in the above list.

Can I have this in NEON please..There are NO ROOKIES IN 2013

There is to be ONE list....just one per club. No more rookies and Vets will be included in the 40 ( just treated differently re the cap )

cheers

edit: subsequent to better information there may be NO rookies..or there might be some. Apparently not required , but optional.

So you've said in other threads but I am yet to see any release from the AFL that confirms this and found nothing after a google search that confirms this.

I think it entirely depends on how many Neeld wants from other clubs that he can manage to attract to us.

There'll be a minimum of 6-8 in ND + PSD (depending on whether we upgrade Nicho & Evans), but the maximum depends on how many (OOC or FA) from elsewhere Neeld can attract to MFC. It could be none; it could be another 6 or 8.

I doubt that Neeld has any maximum number in mind. There's no point getting rid of players if there's nobody to replace them, but I have no doubt that he'll delist or trade as many as he needs, depending on how many incomers he can get to sign on the dotted line.

Is it possible that you could provide the AFL changes for 2013.

The only thing I can find is this article. It doesn't say there will be no rookies.

8

4 already gone (Green, Jurrah, Beamer, Lawrence) + Petterd, Bate, Bennell, Morton

hold it... probably 9 because they will try and trade Martin.

No, hang on, wait..... 10 or 11 becasue Bail and Dunn are not safe.

OK I'll give up now and take another guess at 10

12 to 15:

Gawn already:

Green

Moloney

Jurrah

Lawrence (rookie so doesnt count)

Trade bait (with all due respect):

Morton (has another year but its as clear as daylight)

Martin (GC for Caddy?)

Petterd (I loved this bloke, dont want him to go but I have a feeling)

Rivers (keep hearing rumours)

Dunn (fattening up the calf perhaps?)

Watts (unlikely but stranger things have happened)

Strauss (there are rumours)

Gysberts (there are rumours)

Bail (a QLD boy for Josh Caddy/Toy)?

Potential to be delisted or traded if possible:

Bate

Bennell

Cook (could be too soon, but it doesnt look good)

Retirement?

Aaron Davey (I worry about his injuries and his limp)

I doubt all of these will come out but there is potential for a few more than 12!!

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
