Neeld on SEN:

talking about Watts's ankle. Was supposed to be ready but its a high grade ankle sprain that is taking longer than expected.

Asked about which players are going to be the future - Mentioned 3 - Sam Blease...'he's working hard offensively. Endurance needs improving. Sees a big future. Strauss - sees a big future for him. Sub 3 weeks in a row for a variety of reasons. Jetta - big future. Rushed him straight back in.

Re Beemer. "let's show some energy" His defensive efforts were not good. Carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Go back to the VFL and play with some freedom and enjoyment.

Morton - working his way back into form in VFL. Neeld hesitated when answering... He gets asked a lot about Cale a lot. weeks to demonstrate he can get back to form (?) Suggested look beyond his testing and numbers (ie: don't care where he was drafted he needs to do certain things and he clearly isnlt doing them - my interpretation!)

I'm glad to hear Neeld rates my boy Jetta. Watching Cale Morton for the Scorpions isn't filling me with much confidence at all, though.

Stranger things gave happened but I can't see the boys getting anywhere close to the Roos today.

Contested possession will be a highlight with both sides to go very hard. If we do okay out of the middle we will be caught short once again I the forward 50 unless a miracle takes place.

Looking forward to se how big Spencer goes today after Neeld saying he will match up well against Goldstein. A great game will do him wonders.

Moloney will want to prove his worth today. If he fails to fire again then it will be disappointing to say the least after a couple of weeks off, unfortunately just one of playing in the VFL.

Grimes has been playing into some great form and leading the way. Trengove still needs that performance to make us go wow.. Hopefully he pulls it out today.

If we have a chance it will be though Sylvia and Green in attack.

Chip to account for Petrie is our only hope.

Roo's by 38 points.

Not going today. Have a 2,000 word essay on Media Law due on Thursday. Haven't even started. Too many times this season I've compromised my studies to spend a rare free day watching Melbourne lose.

I'll have the tele on though :P

Don't give us a chance today, at all.

But I'd love some of the senior blokes (especially Moloney) to stand up and show some spirit for Greeny's 250th.

My biggest hope is that we only get beaten by a few goals every quarter rather than get smashed in 1-2 quarters, can't stomach another week of MFC talking about how "4 quarter efforts".

Our forward line is asbymal.. Be lucky to score 5 goals today

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
