Life member. I'd like to reach out to all the lurkers such as myself who don't have much to say but read and therefore benefit, daily. Give to the site that keeps on giving (ludicrous trade scenarios, ranting and raving, extremely premature draft prospects and crusty old farts with no optimism mixed with a bunch of school kids on holidays). It's all good, unfortunate player bashing aside, most of the time and well worth being a part of. Put your money where your keyboards are!

Hey Demonland...maybe introduce another level... Like all good marketing...upsell !!! lol

Maybe

Annual..and thats fantastic to those that preferor afford this

Life... an honorable option.

but in deferance to our monicker and situation maybe another grade:

I humbly suggest. Hell... Member of Hell....it does as you would think come ...after Life..

Just like the MFC you could offer the opportunity to part with more money for the greater good demon_smile.gif I would...Hell, I spend enought time here..lol

just an idea demon_smile.gif lol

Whilst I agree and would definitely welcome larger contributions I feel that if people are going to take out some type of subscription then they should get something in return. Our subscriptions currently offer the removal of advertisements from the site as well as the use of a mobile skin for smartphones. Adding a package that is more than Life without adding another benefit to the donator just doesn't sit well with me. We do however offer the donate (any amount) link (now added as a link between Subscriptions and Demons below the Demonland Banner) for those that have previously taken out a scubscription and would like to contribute again or for those that would rather donate something under $20.

Thanks again for keeping this place going.

I think we should do a 'pledge' week every year where we try and get new members to pay up and Lifers to give something.

Maybe coincide with a yearly Etihad game.

'Go To Hell - Give To Demonland'

I don't think the two are interrelated - I just wanted to use the term 'go to hell' as a double (or triple) entendre.

PA at Demonland should not be personally out of pocket for Co-Ordinating such a forum. To the Contrary IMO. He or She should be subserdized. How about a fundraiser at Bentleigh Club? A face to face night throwing around all the issues going on at MFC.

While I disagree with the locking of certain opinion blogs without notice the Demonland Site is generally a great place to go to Vent out or praise our beloved.

How about we all start by pledging $50 and after that look to an annual fundraiser?

What about all the intelligentsia ,inciteful comment ,analysis ?

Crusty old farts and schoolkids on holidays aside-you have to admit that the writing here is at least as well researched and written as The Herald Sun-by which I mean ,not at all .

Least I could do to chuck a $20 for all the time I spend on here.

It'll come through about an hour after my pay does.

Totally agree. I think we all need a reminder every now and then on the cost and time that is involved in keeping the Demonland world turning. When I first joined I was completely ignorant to these facts. I don't think anyone would have a problem with a yearly reminder and then pledge of anything they can.

I take this site for granted. Happy to give for the huge efforts that keep it running. Thanks for all the work you guys put in. I am sure that I would not do it. Great job.

Thanks for your sensational work, Andy, Nsher et al, and long may it continue. I've just contributed to make myself a 'double' Life Member (which shows how much I value Demonland) ..... but I sure as hell hope it doesn't take two life-times before we can all celebrate the elusive #13.

Should posters who go under several names buy multiple memberships (or for that matter posters with one avatar but multiple personalities)?

If that happened I could retire and donate the rest to the club and we'd be debt free for life. ;)

It's not looking good for the future of Demonology, and as Andy has noted it takes time and money to run these sites.

The organisers of both sites are talking about what can be done, but consolidation to Demonland may be our only viable option.

If you look at the stats when you sign in it is not unusual now to find 700+ people on line at this site.

It is absolutely essential for all of us that Demonland continues. And with this many people using the site it should be possible to keep it so.

I'm sure that $10 a year is not too much for the pleasure this site brings. Anything more is a bonus, but Andy shouldn't have to come to ask us for help. We're the ones getting the benefit. He's already putting in.

As they say in the classics.....it's all up to us.

I went to buy a life membership, but when I am taken to the PayPal page I am getting the following message:

Confirm your credit or debit card number

To help protect your account, we need to confirm that you are the account holder. To confirm your identity, we will ask you a series of questions.

Please enter your credit or debit card account number in the space provided.

I am very loathe to provide such information; if they wanted to confirm my identity, they could ask other questions rather than my CC number. Is there any way I can do this directly from my PayPal account, using your PayPal ID but not by going through the provided link.. and still have my status updated to Life Member?

Not sure why it is doing this for you. I just followed the link and it all look legit to me.

Anyway, if you PM me I will provide account details to direct debit and then I can manually update your Demonland account to Life Member.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
