No. More like an enigma.

At first glance I thought you said enema.

I was going to agree.

Out Dunn. 1 week (at least).

With Tom McD (and Sellar?) probably still out, presumably an opening in the back line, given that that's where Dunn played on the weekend. Strauss?

Running out of troops here.

Jesus. Jamar is back this week, right? Right? And even though I've not been on the Couch bandwagon, he's literally kicked down the door on the weekend, especially with Magner looking VERY tired.

IN: Jamar, Couch, Green, Gysberts, Strauss

OUT: Spencer (to be 1st ruck at Casey), Dunn (susp), Magner (rested), Moloney (to Casey please), Bennell (Casey)

B: Nicholson Frawley Rivers

HB: Grimes Watts MacDonald

C: Gysberts Trengove Sylvia

HF: Couch Green Blease

F: Martin Garland Howe

R: Jamar Jones McKenzie

I: Bate Strauss Tapscott

Sub:Bail

EMG: Cook, Fitzpatrick, Bennell

If Frawley doesn't get up: Garland to FB, Cook in at FF.

Gee doctor Cook at Full Forward.

Nothing like throwing him in at the deep end.

Not sure I want to ruin the kid for twelve months

Freo Backline would crack him into 3 bits in the first quarter.

All for giving the kid a run but can we ease him in a little please

OD, I'm sure many backlines in the VFL would hit him harder than Freo's will.

I just fail to see who else we'd have at FF. Fitzpatrick? Seems to be more of a backup ruckman than a forward.

Green at FF, maybe, then your boy Bennell in the forward pocket?

What about Howe FF? Can play in the Franklin mould: quick/good leader, great mark, big tank who can wander up ground.

Howe was playing FF when recruited. Bit of a no brainer to me.

Cook at FF won't be so bad. He'd be up against NOS, so he won't be bullied or monstered. Might get outplayed, but that comes with being a beginner. As it stands right now we need someone tall down there rather badly. Martin can't do it all on his own.

RM there is a bloke playing in the back line he is 6 6" can take a grab, good kick for goal and was recruited as a forward.

Why not give him a go?

Agree Old Dee, when we lined up on Saturday I thought our coach was playing forwards as backs and backs as forwards, then I thought all year our midfielders have chased the footy around like under 9's and then bang it hit me Mark Neeld's game plan make it simple under 9's footy the only issue I had was they didn't swap at half time.

I would love to see Watts back forward, play him on the spud at his third club. My forward line can kick goals with Howe, Green, Davey, Watts, Martin and Cook it would be a hard forward line to match up on Howe and Green can play tall, they mark the footy well all players except Davey can rotate through full forward plus push up high half forward and all besides Cook are dangerous when the ball hits the ground.

The only issue is can we get it inside 50m for these guys to kick the goals.

Just extracting the urine, OD.

And please do note that I only have Cook in in the case that Frawley doesn't pass the concussion test this week.

Yes I was well aware of that Dr.

Need a good laugh these days as there is not much happening on weekends to get a smile going.

May be praying for a Miracle there dee-luded

I would think he will be out more than one week.

Certainly won't fly to Darwin

Back for the GWS might be a good result

If so I don't know who else has the agility, strength X endurance if Pav plays leadup?

We'll have to play Frawley as we do with Buddy.

You are right there is no one.

The only way the Dees can beat Pav is to reduce the supply and I doubt our mid field can do that anymore on Saturday than they have all year.

It will not be pretty

The voice of reason, has to happen. Those of you saying that Cook isnt ready and will get destroyed, how about you look at Jeremey Cameron, he seems to be doing fine and he has done half an afl pre season. Cook needs to be given a chance.

In: Cook Green Gysberts Jamar

Out: Dunn Spencer Magner Bennell

Couch's 25 touches and 4 goals not good enough to get a go in your team Jonesbag?

Id be lying if i said i didnt feel bad for leaving him out but i feel in the long run getting games into gysberts would be more beneficial

I hear what you're saying, but I just think from a culture point of view we have to reward him with a game.

All this talk of cook getting smashed because he is too small makes me look at Chris Dawes and wonder what his problem is? It's not a body building competition it's footy. As has been said Jeremy Cameron is going fine for his size and there are plenty of tarzans playing like Jane and Jane's playing like Tarzan in the AFL. if the lad has form then pick him.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
