We have room in the salary cap and draft picks. Who is out of contract and on our radar?

I for one want CLOKE, then the forward line is complete for the next five years you can lock it away and worry about the midfield and defence which is really getting better.

When I saw all those $$$$ in the topic I could only think of one poster for a fleeting moment !

We can all breathe easy :)

In the Cloke poll started by RR , around 45 - 47% voted for us to go get Cloke . Clark missing last week (and the rest of the season) underlines the value of a good key forward .

Somewhere there is a list of the free agents and in amongst them are quite a few midfielders - that's what we need . Cloke will come at a hefty price but I'd be very happy if we snared him .

i reckon we give Kerr an extra 100 or 200k per season. He is a free agent, bursts from packs and we could milk a season or 2 out of him to help out our mid-field.

Wont need to give up any draft picks either.

So long as West Coast are a chance for the flag, I can't see him going anywhere. But I'd definitely prefer to see the club target a credible midfielder instead of Cloke

No way we get him and he isn't even a power forward...

And how would we get him here?

Oops, sorry, that was my macro going off.

I think we should top up our mids with maybe S.Black and B.Sewel and watch Toumpas,Viney and Trengove grow into a force under there guide.

The MFC is in need of players like Black IMO and this will fast track the whole team.

Boak, ($$$$$), > (Mid Rnd Compo Pick + one of Beamer/Sylvia).

Or, U-17 Mini Draft (Hogan) > (Mid Rnd Compo Pick + one of Beamer/Sylvia).

Or, Trade Beamer > (Bombers-19)/(GWS-18)/(Suns-24)

Get Chapman $$$$, to aid our young mids.

Boak & Chapman, + young draftees, + a mature tall forward, not cloke.

Tom Rockliff and/or Mitch Robinson.

Im pretty sure ROCKLIFF signed for 3 years last year. I know him pretty well and he did a pre season with Melb who promissed him ha would be picked in the rookie draft. Brisbain beat us to the punch. Another one lost.

You're probably right. I have little to no knowledge of contract status.

Those are the 2 names for mine that stand out from the rest I'd love to see this club throw money at.

Beams (500K 4 years) & Wellingham (350K 4 years)

I'd also say there's a bit too much affection for Collingwood's list going on up in here.

Wellingham is the player St Kilda knocked back for Ball and in the end got nothing for. Not the best of moves but says what the Saints list management thought of Sharrod.

Of course, there is another option - that St Kilda's list management guys were just lousy negotiators

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
