Did many players shake his hand after the game or be friendly with him??? I missed it.

Yeah they did. Most shook his hand, a couple had a chat like Blease and Garland. Classier way to go about it once the siren goes.

$cully will be good but can't help but think that if we really nail these compo picks (?!) we've dodged a bullet paying this guy anywhere near $1m a year. I just don't understand why GWS would pay him that much. Better them than us though for sure.

I have no doubt that he was approached by GWS people before he was even drafted. He was the standout 18 year old in his draft year, and he was always headed for GWS as soon as his first contract was up regardless of what he did in his time at Melbourne.

Tom Scully will be lying in bed sleepless tonight thinking

-I disgraced myself by acting like such a dodgy p-ick, and the footy world knows all about it

-I am nowhere near as good as the money I am earning, and with every s-it game I play, the media wolves are going to start feasting on me

-This mob is going to get regularly spanked for years to come. I will probably retire without playing a final.

If only Scully had received some of the physical treatment that ended up coming Junior's way - such as a Moloney forearm to the throat!

That really [censored] me off. I was also glad they gave him a free when Davey pushed him in the back.

He is a champ and the reception he got from our supporters today speaks volumes. Scully will be lucky to get that reception from his own supporters, let alone opposition supporters.

I was thinking this a couple of months back. He's been thinking this for a while now. Although for $1M a year, he seems the type that wouldn't give a stuff either!

More of a reflection of himself than anything. Im so bloody happy he's gone, soooo happy!

Yep, totally agree. He's terrific and deserves complete respect.

Loved the roar when Watts pinpointed the pass to Trenners who nailed the captains goal

Said it all for me, Tom who? Will doubtless turn out to be a good player, but will never reach level to justify the Gary Ablett coin he is on. Good luck to you Giants, may you forever struggle to hold your emerging talent with his bloated salary on your books

The guy sitting in front of me (who seemed to have no affilation to either team) interrupted my booing by turning around and asking

"Would Jim Stynes boo Tom Scully?" Couldn't come up with a witty response in 5 seconds.

I always seem to sit with weirdos.

I dunno. I think a mattress filled with $100 bills does a lot to make you sleep well at night.

Well, apparently Jimmy's autobiography that is due out in a couple of months deals with his disappointment with the way Scully behaved, so although Jimmy didn't actually boo, he did have his say. I am not bothered about the fact that Scully left, more power to him for getting paid far more money than he is worth, but I find the way he left dishonourable and shameful. I always wondered why GWS went after Scully with such a vengeance, but then didn't Sheedy get knocked back for a coaching gig at Melbourne? Considering the catty spiteful way he has been behaving this week, it seems perhaps there was a personal score to settle which interfered with better judgement...

I have come home hoarse from booing. Two young girls in front of me kept blocking thier ears each time I booed I was so loud. I enjoyed every boo, let me tell you. By the end of the game my wife was giving me "the look" because my booing was getting under her skin.

However, by half way through the last quarter Scully became irrelevant to me enjoying the rest of the game. I have purged my soul and Scully is now in the past. He may become a really good footballer in the next few years but he has made a monumental blunder in choosing GWS. But from here on, what happens to him has no importance to me whatsoever.

R.I.P. - any further interest in Scully, father or son.

My brother recently jumped on the Dee's bandwagon he isn't really in to footy but he is a signed up and paid for Redleg member so god on him but he did ask me today at the game which player was Scully before the bounce so I pointed him out and he said to me after the game he would have thought a 6 Million dollar player would be a Buddy,Judd or Ablett and he said all Scully is good for is a couple of handballs. After playing footy for 20 years and watching the Dee's for about the same time my Brother who basically knows bugger all said it best.

PS. When I played I only used to shake the hand of my opponent for the majority of the day - its got ridiculous all the handshakes these days.

As for Tom, how do you feel now you slime bag?!

Bleasey and Scully had a nice chat - they're very close friends. A few others came over and shook his hand, but they didn't linger.

A thread about Sully who left our club for a deal of a life time & when our footy dpt was in a mess!

Carrying about booing & how they booed... really cmon!

I also was very angry when I left but understood why, remember we are not the only club that lost a star/potential

Lets face it we beat an u19 team, lets not forget we are 1-10,

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
