What a weak excuse of a player, I have thought it and said it before but seriously his ability to shirk contests went to a all time high tonight.

He should be told tonight that unless he drastically changes he will never play for MFC again.

And this is not even going on about his terrible disposal.

Danny Hughes was the last decent player to wear it from memory .

i thought he did quite a few things well today....

I thought he did a hell of a lot of things wrong too

Overreaction. He had a few awful clangers, but his first quarter was fantastic and he has been far better in 2012 than 2011.

Agree with you Striker.

What a disgraceful performance and he sunk to new lows. Watched on the southern stand wing as he stood an watched when he had 3 clear opportunities to bend and pick up a ball. 5 minutes later he shanks a direct turnover goal and our comeback was obsolete. It's was a truly pathetic game from a soft joke of a player. Surely that was his last chance?

Sure he made some mistakes.. but i thought he did really well today.. i think you just need someone to blame.

Better than a lot, Morton's game was better than blease, the only problem with him is his mistakes are so obvious, he still gave it a decent crack and did some really good things!

He did quite well today but his clangers cost us more than anyones and its a theme. hes definitely improving but sometimes its very infurriating. Greens misses were as bad

Far too easy for the simpleton supporter to pick up on that clanger 4 minutes in to the third and let rip.

I saw numerous "1%ers" and "pressure acts" where he was willing to put his 42 kg frame in and take the game on.

You saw that clanger - which Little Jonny No-Brains could have picked up on - and now claim to be a f*ing expert on his future.

The kid won't justify pick 4 and pretty much everyone concedes on that. But he can amount to being a "good ordinary player" and he's trying hard to be that player.

Thread is harsh but geeze, how many chances does one player deserve?

Remember Michael Newton?

I know where you're coming from P_Man, but like most of our team, Morton needs a good preseason to gain elite fitness.

A trip to casey beckons surely

Well then. Go 'good ordinary player' #10, Go!

Another 10 kgs wouldn't go astray either.

Just feels like Groundhog Day with him. Very frustrating.

Good evening learned "Landers"

Picket Fence ere over from The megabyte corrupted "Ology"

I have been very critical of Cale Morton and his inability to win "Contested Ball". Some Demonologists have stuck fast by Morton through thick and thin!

A bit like my support of 'Juice Newton" over the years but let me say this......

He has survived on the strength of his "Skills" set and running ability.

As a flawed player this has now deserted him.

Feeble players in AFL football are a thing of the past. You must both win contested and uncontested footy.

His time has past and as a number 4 draft pick he has been a massive disappiontment.

Trade out... if lucky!!

The Picket Fence!

Vastly improved. More of Neeld and Morton will be a beauty. Haters going to hate, I guess

Neeld looked like a hater after CM got the ball and copped a whack ,then decided to run on to is non-existent left and ruin our momentum with another turnover .

I'm gong to hate him until he stops doing dumb things. He is too easily put off ,distracted ,forced into error .

Having said that , he did win a few of his own balls today and is getting better in some areas.

I hate that it takes so long for him to get it .

I hate the expression "hater"

I hate Americanisms being brought into our culture

I hate Collingwood

I hate the world after they beat us.

Yep -I'm a hater.

That turnover today was borne about from being stuffed - look at the fitness of the Pies' midfield - oh, yeah, you're right....truck load of protein bars as well.

Morton was far from our worst today. he needs to clean up the turnovers and he'll be a good player. a lot of talent is obvious

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
