I've never been so ashamed

No shame in taking the 4 to 1.

I will take their money.

we have to be the best value bet this week.

Maybe Rance? Ha they have no hope.

Im sure he will be double teamed neway coz our ball movement is too slow atm.

That is true. Hopefully our coaches realised after the eagles game that within the rules of AFL you can have more then one forward. This should leave Watts open to dominate.

I don't know why, but I'm starting to feel like we do have this..

All we need to do is get off to a good start. We do that, we win.

This game will kick off our season. Bookmark it.

Get off to a Solid start, & We CAN Win.

Concerned we're coming back from Perth and 31 degrees!

Tom McDonald said he lost 3 kilos!

Needed everything to go our way to win this one- hope I'm wrong.

Agreed.

This is where Misson earns his $$$.

Yes, just like we could have won the game against the Lions (Eagles game was a bridge too far regardless), yet we lost by 41 points. Unfortunately this game is no push-over, although I do believe it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we could win; I just wouldn't be putting my house on the result, that's all.

However, I do find it amusing that as we get past the halfway point in the week after a >100 point drubbing, the wailing and gnashing of teeth makes way for the fanfares ushering in what is certain to be a certain victory and a turning of the corner :-)

I don't think we will be turning any corners soon I just think we match up too well for the tigers. Right now we have the turning circle of the Titanic but it's all good this weekend Tigers 0-3 Dee's 1-2.

Moloney out with Groin soreness again this week so we should see Tom Couch get a run.

I can see us dominating the clearances this week but it's the ball use which needs to dramatically improve.

I think Mitch will kick a bag on Saturday and we'll get up comfortably.

Hey peoples Now Just sit back and relax we've got this game against the tigers. Why? How can you say that! we suck, I give up, our list sucks, Recruiting is poor,Schwab needs to go and Bring back Bailey is what I have been reading. We will beat the tigers no drama. I did just post in the changes vs tigers thread so I thought I would start this one because we do have some good players who can win games for us. So I'll start down back. I believe its a very solid backline with Rive,Garland and Chippa. They just need to not be seeing the ball every two seconds and be surrounded by opposition midfielders and that isn't gonna happen against the tigers. Our midfielders will be a lot better this week if Beamer is back. Who is Beamer? Oh yeah he is that bloke who won the B&F last year. With JT,Jones,Magner and hopefully Couch all in and under and also a tag on Martin we've got this. Another game for Russian to prove his worth. Who's Russian? He is an all australian Ruckman and one of the best hit out players in the league. Bate needs to play a full game he is getting touches with little game time so give him a start Neeld. Our forwards will smash them if Ricky P and Clark start deep. They can't handle two big agile forwards who can take a grab. They have no hope of stopping them two. Throw in Watts and Martin and it's in the bag. BRING IT TIGERS! You will be are [censored]! Powerade showers for all GO DEES!

l like your positve attitude but your dreaming, it will be a 10 goal thrashing.

I agree we should win by ten goals!

Demons to run over a cocky tigers outfit. Watts, Clark, Howe and Jones to stand out. 4 goal win and then are all up for a big one v Doggies. Davey to improve. Go Dees!!!

Get on with plenty. Their backline are pygmies. Disposal wise, none of them could hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Their clearance work is worse than ours. Their top level midfielders are superior to ours but they fall away quickly. Their forward line is Riewoldt - yeah, good player - Miller & Maric

Get on with plenty C&B

Holy s*^t - is that optimism?

It's contagious cowboy!

Ok, I'm in - we've got this - Dees by 5.

Agreed - our defense is solid and does ok against the Tiges. Midfield is the worry.

I think (hopefully) that things will quite suddenly click at the dees and we will get some semblence of a top 22.

HahHaHa, yeah, but this is our part of the ladder where in now. We've got a good chance, but it will be a hard slog first half.

Hopefully we have the leg condition to run the second half out.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
