The unwashed booing the umpires.... Why do I choose to live here in Adelaide?? Unfortunately Melbourne don't pay my wage.... Although, maybe they should.... I am more passionate than some who are already on benefits from the MFC

Clearly we have to sack the coach, the conditioning staff, the recruiting manager (sorry, gone already), the captains, vice captains, any players picked anywhere in the top 30 of their draft, the club doctor, receptionist, cleaners et al.

We need a clean start.

Why the stress? It's only a practice match.

It is a practice match for BOTH sides.... One who some claim can really improve and finish near or possible scrape into the eight.... And one who most people around the country believe will finish near the bottom 2....

Which one is which??

Practice match or not.... I played in many a pre-season match during my amatuer career but I didn't leave my testicles in the locker room!

Footy is footy!.... People say we are trying to work on new structures..... That would wash with me if Jones was in the ruck, Jamar was at full back and Frawley was at full forward....

New structures is no excuse for [censored] poor efforts at the pill....

I dare anyone to tell me I am wrong.....

Better quater by Melbourne. Trengove not getting a sniff is just a little concerning, still waiting for him to really dominate a game.

Still waiting for him to get pubes....

The kid is young.... Domination is a ways off....

You are old enough to remember premierships.... I have been to 2 floggings on the greatest day of the year.... I want what you have had so I can come on here and tell people to calm down when we are getting flogged by the bottom team :P

Wow.... Can't believe we are looking at getting a "Forever Out Jostled" sponsor

When will we take this sport seriously at Melbourne ;)

Goodvibes made an excellent post a week, or so, ago where he succinctly enunciated how 3 or 4 players missing can have a major effect on a team's performance. I know it's bizarre to suggest this, but Magner's injury has really been crucial to our recent fortunes. As most have stated for some time, we have a third world midfield and it's still where games are won and lost. Magner's grunt and ability to get the ball moving our way has been sorely missed.

Clearly the players are trying to adapt to a new game-plan and it's going to take time. I'm not overly perturbed as I have confidence in the end result. But it will test some supporter's resolve.

Best so far Jamar, Jones, Tynan, Bate and prob... Blease. I assume Tynan will loose his spot to Grimes but he has really put his hand up.

Sylvia has done nothing =(

IMO he is the only underdeveloped player picked in this team, but for a reason.

I think we are having a big change with all the 'skilled' playmakers out to HTFU. This Will unbalance us initially.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
