We have our problems with Jurrah and Grimes, so do the Lions with Brown.

He injured his eye socket in a collision at training and it seems he will need further surgery.

You have to feel for the guy.

Yeah - great bloke. He came down to our footy club last year and had a chat to the boys the Thursday night before our grand final. Went through his feelings on the lead-up to all his big games, what to do, how to prepare and all that. Was a great experience. Would have had him in a Dees strip any day, and is definitely a sad story. Best of luck to the big fella!

According to the press he's been taken to hospital for precautionary scans: “It’s far too early to speculate (about the injury) … we just sent him off for precautionary scans because of his history,” ..."Warren said there was no indication Brown had suffered another serious injury this morning. “He was fine, absolutely fine, no sign of concussion or anything like that,” .

My supercoach team is in ruins after today. Hopefully both Brown and Grimes are ok (although if Brown could miss Round 1 I wouldn't be comepletely devo'ed just quietly).

It's a wonder Matt McGuire hasn't got a rooted knee after it hitting Brownies steel face.

Glass cheeks .

Tough luck for him .

good for us .

Why do the Lions keep using him for target practice?

Brisbane were so happy when they drafted Matt McGuire..................................

I saw the footage of brown getting a knee to the head again. I heard vossy say they have to practice this way to play this way and he is a legend of footy and now a coach so i'll take his word for it but holy crap I would be so [censored] and ask why they train this way if let's say Megner did the same thing to Mitch Clark or Watts.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
