In post 88- I stated that a Chinese organisation will take up sponsorship. With all my dealings with Chinese, they take a terribly long time to execute. Will happen and very soon now.

I would have thought this week would have been ideal timing. We are playing Collingwood on Saturday night with TV coverage only 4 or 5 games are covered this week, followed by Hawthorn. If a sponser wanted to get exposure this would be the week to kick it off.

didnt chris connelly say the deal was pretty much done?

was hoping someone in the know could maybe provide some info on the situation?

The club was saying similar things a couple of years ago and it was false, luckily they got saved at the last minute by a couple of fans. I'll believe it when I see it.

I would like to see some proof of that.

I don't recall that at all.

What I recall is Mission Foods pulling out of a $1.2m a year deal with us to go to the WB for $1m a year.

Your agenda is getting tiresome.

Yes do recall it, because you have quoted the sponsorship deal with Mission that the club thought that they had in the bag. Seems strange to deny knowledge then admit knowledge in the same post.

I have no idea what you believe my agenda is. This thread is about the front of jumper sponsor, we still do not have one and I am not happy about it. I recall from you staunch support of Dean Bailey and Tom Scully that you like to shout down anyone that does not agree with your view, even when clearly incorrect, looks like you are on the same track again.

Yes, please cover yourself by attacking me semantically.

You're unhappy we don't have a FOJ sponsor? I would never have guessed from the consistent, almost daily updates of Schwab's failure that you have given us.

And My HWFUA Support ©, another diversion and cover, is relevant how? Because I defended a Demon and had the audacity to believe in the righteousness of a 20 year old simpleton?

As for the Bailey remark, I have no idea where you are getting that from, I started a KPI thread that vividly illustrated the epic failure that was 2011.

I always find it funny when charged with 'shouting people down' that those that make the charge partake in exactly the dastardly act that I am supposedly guilty of.

I mean, this thread is full of you 'shouting down' those that want to believe Schwab and CC and co.

Settle down folks.........we are all anxious about the fojs

we have no choice but to wait.....maybe till season start time

if as rumoured it is a significant chinese sponsor going through a prolonged signoff phase then so be it

if not by then, you can all get your soapboxes out and vent your little hearts out

meanwhile polish your oratorical attacks and retorts in private

this thread really shows how impatient we really are, doesn't it.

This is where I seem to disagree with most who are posting on here. I do not think it is impatient to expect to have a FOJ sponsor on board for the start of competitive games.

I think every other club in the league has one, we do not, and it is poor management by the club to be heading into March without it. I do not know a professional team in any code in the land that has had to start a year playing competitive televised games without a sponsor on the prime position of the uniform.

It's true.

I am a Chinese Airline executive and while we were crossing the "I's" and dotting the "T's" we realised we had it backward and now it looks like Swedish and jibberish...

Looks like China Southern's updating the 772 segment of their fleet.

China Southern to acquire 10 777-300ERs

They should sit nicely between the A330s and A380s.

Nice to read about a Growing Airline....most are really struggling right now....as are many corporations around the globe.

I was on an Emirates 777 last night, they must have the narrowest asile's of any aircraft I have been on.

And I should know I spend hours chasing my Grand daughter up and down.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final.
