The Mitch Clark Thread

Heart Beats True

Recommended Posts

I said earlier i liked what i saw in Spencer and " was looking forward to seeing him play when Jamar went down". His kicking is better not great imo.

What was better was his marking, he is a HUGE kid now, took alot of marks and seemed like a target for Casey, looked ALOT better than Gawn on the day i saw him.

203cm 105kg seems pretty un pencil like to me

I saw improvement, i also said he isnt a world better or anything but is from QLD, is getting quite large and improving and Brisbane need a backup ruck option

If we could [censored] Spencer off to Brisbane I'd be ecstatic.. They've made some stupid moves recently - this would cap it off!!!

Leunberger is the Ruck like Jamar compare them, people are talking about Clark as a forward so lets treat him that way?

More than happy to treat him as a forward Jordie, becuase that's where he will play his best footy, especially if he were in a team, like Melbourne, where he isn't needed to play 1st or 2nd ruck. I have no doubt as a full forward, he has the capacity to kick 40+ a season. Add Jurrah's standard 30+, and I'd like to think Watts' 25+ from now on, we are starting to get a decent forward line.

He is more value to us kicking 40 a season as Full Forward (which I have no doubt he can), than he would be playing 1st ruck.

When we dont need a ruck i would hope so,

If Clark can kick 40 a season then great sign him up, just not for 2 first rounders as that stupid SNF article suggested, pick 12 sure

I reckon the "go home" factor is the only thing standing in the way of a deal with us, but Brisbane have already said the Dockers offer is not good enough. If he doesn't go to us, then it's likely he will have to go into the draft and if that happens, the chances of him getting to Perth will be almost nil.

IMO, we will snare him and there can only be positives come from such a deal. It is good to see us finally acting like a "real" AFL footy club.

He'll stay with Brisbane and try to get Freo next year before he signs with us..... Absolute waste of time.

All this talk of trading for a forward as in Clark and that Irish bloke from St.Kilda can someone tell me how far off Lucas Cook. Anyone who has seen him play can you tell me will he debut next year or is he a couple of years off?

He wants to go to WA, right?

......... so what the hell are we even contemplating him for?

Case closed. Next!

Because Brisbane will dictate the terms, if he departs them. If he goes in the draft, he will be picked up before the Eagles or Dockers even get to sniff at him.

I think sometimes this I want to go home is just an excuse to get out of the club you are at. If we can land Mitch Clark, I don't think we will but at least we are having a crack, he is the tall option to create a contest up forward. He is the muscle up forward, the kick long option, the only issue he may have if he signs with Melbourne is he will feature in many mark of the year highlights as the step ladder for Jurrah/Petterd and Howe.

He might be the first player that will need to wear padding accross his shoulders.

Absolutely!!!! I really don't know what Harrington is doing.

He is trying to do his job.

If that means getting rebuffed then at least he asked the question.

I would be more annoyed if we didn't ask, then if we got beaten to the punch again.

I care about getting sh!t done, not perceptions when we don't get sh!t done.

Mitch Clark played a lot of games forward this year with Leunberger. Same thing will happen in MFC.

Looked a lot like a plug a hole forward which was a far cry from his break out near AA year in the ruck.

Lots of talent Clark but IMO watching him this year, he is a kock tease so i hope we don't get him

This is the thing - we are not getting anything done! Missed out on the Mini Draft and now wasting time on a bloke that wants to live in WA and isn't that good. It's 4.20 pm on Thursday and so far we've got nothing! We've only got tomorrow and Monday. Time is ticking and we are wasting it.

If Clark says no to us and insists he wants to go home or will stay at Lions I would offer our pick 12 to Freo for 16 and 20. I don't think dropping 4 spots would kill us and then we have another pick 4 spots later. I am sure Freo would do it in a heartbeat to get Clark.

I agree, and I think this is probably our 'fall back' option if clark says no to us.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
