Strauss the obvious, Tapscott should hopefully get up. Davey looked out of form or unfit. And Green...

No offence but that sounds a bit like Deck Chairs.

Harsh on Jones I think. At least went hard at the ball today. Agree with Green who was nowhere today. Would maybe give Davey one more week to see if is better for another run, probably at Maric's expense.

Tappy got knocked out twice and probably in the hospital thanks to S. Martin :(

AR yes Jonesy did get a bit of the footy and I liked his hit on a Blue player early but his decision making is awful in my view.

Maybe bring in Morton instead of Maric.

IN - any player who really wants to be part of our future

OUT - anyone who can't be bothered to put in a full game's effort, which would seem like most this week and last

Out: Strauss, Bate, Tapscott (if still concussed)

In: Nicholson, Cook, Warnock (if Tappy doesn't come good)

Warnock for Lynch.

Are you talking about Cook who will be playign Casey 2's tomorrow? Cannot do Ins until I see tomorrow but Strauss,Green,Bate and Bartram for mine with Rivers(cant play on a tall) and Moloney (doesn't work hard enough outisde the square) not far behind.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tappy miss. It looked like he copped a pretty solid whack on the jaw. Could be broken. Of course, if he's just concussed then we can bring him back next week and he'll kick 6...

Anyway, I can see both Strauss and Tappy going out, which makes next week really interesting. Do we see Blease get a start? I think it's a great opportunity to give Davis a taste. Play him on LeCras or Nicoski. They are both small marking-type forwards, so he might stand a half a chance. I'd also love to seem Warnock get back into the side to sit on Lynch. Frawley goes to Fletch and Rivers gets to play third man, which is where he prefers to be.

I honestly can't understand why Green is still in the side at the moment. Richie Vandenberg kept the captaincy when he wasn't good enough to get into the side and there were no problems. Surely they can bite the bullet and admit that he's not carrying his weight? Ditch him for a game or two and put Davey into the forward line.

So this leaves us with the following:

Out- Tapscott, Strauss, Green

In - Davis, Blease, Warnock

Out: Strauss, Bate, Dunn

In: Jurrah, Sylvia, Blease

Dunn had 13 possessions 7 tackles and kicked a couple surely there were worse there today?

There's no way I want to see warnock don a melbourne jumper again, complete liability with his disposal and not accountable enough...

Dunn had 13 possessions 7 tackles 3 or 4 hit outs and kicked two goals and presented up forward and having a spell on Judd and you want him dropped?

I can think of half a dozen players who ought to be dropped before he should.

Yes, that Cook. I know, I know. But why not, seriously? The game is a virtual write-off.

Although possibly LJ instead.

We get exploited each week now with being unable to match up on the Gorilla forwards and next week the Eagles have several of them . No harm blooding McDonald and Davis if they go ok tom.

Bartram should not be kept in the side for next week either. In the last quarter out of 3 consecutive kicks,2 were touched by the Carlton player on the mark and the 3rd sailed out on the full. Not AFL standard at all.

I Agree. For some on here stats are of no relevance. It's Personal! Could be the Mo?

Plus one. I pointed this out in another thread

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
