I get the impression from Neeld that the players aren't going to love him but they're going to respect him and play like Demons for him. I like his no bs coaching style and he's the no nonsense kind of coach we need after Bailey. I have a feeling he's going to give out a few rockets to players who don't play their roles properly or dance around playing for themselves and not the team. That was when I knew the game was a joke. Also the one out of the middle that resulted in a goal was clearly a throw too. The umpires were a joke!

This game sums up Melbourne's year. Clumsy. Poor skills. Underdeveloped players who don't deserve a game. Lack of leadership. No fire in the belly.

Green should resign his captaincy at the press conference after the game. He is past it. We need some leaders who'll have a friggin crack!

I have never been so close to using physical violence at a game of footy. I had to sit in front of Collingwood supporters who decided to come to the Melb v GC game just to be obnoxious, abuse our club and barrack for the GCS way over the top. All friggin day! Just goes to prove what scum they really are! I hope Karma deals with them harshly. Blease and McDonald look fantastic and in spirts Macnamara looked solid. I felt kinda bad for Barty when Morton roosted it high into our forward line in the 4th instead of kicking it to him 30 yards out. But credit to Barty and his job on Yablet and he didn't kick the ball out on the full today.

Col plays for Col and not the Club. If he's stepping up it's because he wants to attract GWS or the Gold Coast. Col is one of our most inconsistent players.

The Ugly Morton dribbling a kick across the face of goal from 20m out with no one near him. Sylvia deciding not to handball to Dunn for a certain goal.

Sylvia is a selfish player who doesn't know the meaning of TEAM. He plays for himself not the club and his decision to kick on an impossible angle after seeing Dunn in the clear in the box should see Sylvia play out the rest of the season for Casey. He is a disgrace! Best call I heard all day was a Melbourne supporter who got stuck into Sylvia for being slow saying "GET YOUR WALLET OUT OF YOUR BACK POCKET SYLVIA!!" cracked me up!

I hope GWS or the Gold Coast want him next season because he's a dud and a list clogger his game today just sums up how stupid we were to sign him till 2013.

Couldn't agree more...great post. If the MFC was a business you owned shares in you'd have sold up decades ago. Dunn had 13 possessions 7 tackles 3 or 4 hit outs and kicked two goals and presented up forward and having a spell on Judd and you want him dropped? I can think of half a dozen players who ought to be dropped before he should.

Tappy got knocked out twice and probably in the hospital thanks to S. Martin AR yes Jonesy did get a bit of the footy and I liked his hit on a Blue player early but his decision making is awful in my view. Maybe bring in Morton instead of Maric.
