ZHe was very ordinsry at best and did less than Dunn, Bate or Maric (Your well known fave)in any of their games this season but you are happy for him to stay. Hmmm. Dunn plays ok certainly nowhere near the worst. Gets bagged and you want him dropped. Bate has an average game. Gets bagged and you want him dropped. MARIC doesn't even play. Gets bagged by you and shouldn't be played etc etc Davey is definitely one of the worst. Ohh he deserves another chance and needs to be played?? WTF?

What did I miss? Where you watching a replay or something. I thought our forward line was very ordinary and disfunctional and Davey did bugger all.

With regards to the incident, he slowed down as he did not have an option going forward. The reason he didn't have an option was because for some reason we had our two "tall forwards" in the backline! Both Jurrah and Watts did not start in the forward line????

We lose by 186 points and we single out our forward pocket and dedicste a thread to it and then bag him. Some on this site are as pathetic as the demons performance today!

Ins: Newton, MacDonald/Rivers & Jetta Out, Jamar, Grimes & Trengove Martin is unlikely to come up, Rivers is doubtful. I would actually try Jurrah in the ruck. He has a great leap so could be competitive and if not the fall back is Newton and Dunn.

x2 Poor Bater was very ordinary and had a severe case of the yips. Dropping marks, missing tackles misjudging the bounce nothing worked for the poor bugger. I have been a firm believer that you need to give people more than one game to prove themselves but having said that others have not had that opportunity (Maric, Jetta, Petterd)so for the sake of consistancy he might find him self back at Casey and needing to wait for his next opportunity after playing well there.

I see similarities between Jones and Maric. Even when they have a good game there is always someone who can find a way to bag them. OOH if Scully was ..... If Mckenzie was.... WELL they're not! Get over it. Jones is and he IS getting the job done and playing well. Give the guy some credit. We won and Jones whether you like him or not was an important part of that win. Same goes for Maric. Some say an ineffective 31 possessions etc etc. I thought he was really good and have always been a fan so its good to see him take his opportunity but like jones he will have those that will want to bag him aswell. AND WE WON!

Know how you feel, I did the same thing but I traded Maric out a couple of weeks ago DOFF!

We are now paying for the free rides given to players based on reputation. What happened to the comments at the start of the year about players needing to earn their spots to get in the side and then continue to perform in order to keep them. Seems to only apply to Petterd, Maric & Jetta (our best performers preseason) Passenger List: Green Davey Morton Wonna Bennell Jurrah Frawley Gysberts (this week only) For me last night Grimes, Bail, Trengove & Jones were the only ones who paid their way.

I agree that stats aren't everything and alot of important stuff happens off the ball, no argument there. I also agree that Aussie has shown more than Maric not just today, not just over the last few weeks but since he has been at the club, but the arguments for promotion or demotion have to be consistant for all and at times I think that they aren't. And I am not suggesting that Maric replace Aussie as I think there is room for both. Last year Maric one game and then back to the seconds This year one game then one qtr the the seconds Jetta 2 games, one good one not so good back to the seconds. The two best performers of the preseason no opportunity for redemption Pettard sub and game saver in one game then average in his first full game straight back to the seconds Watts, Bennell, Dunn ????? Newton. What does he have to do to get a go?

If Maric had 11 possessions and a return of 1,3 would your argument be the same? Maric never got the luxury of two games. He deserves a shot for the same reasons as you argued Aussie deserved one last week. BOG with with 30 odd possessions and three goals laid a number of tackles and was everywhere. Re Watts I have been a Watts supporter but after this weeks effort it is getting hard to justify him staying in.

11 possessions and a return of 1.3 wouldn't be enough to keep Maric, Jetta or Petterd in the side and being named in the best at Casey is obviously not enough for Maric and Jetta to get back in. It is fair that others get a second chance against Gold Coast regardless of how poorly they played this week. HMMM.

I don't think they did really, hence my sarcasm, but Jones doesn't deserve it either so Fair Call! From here on all frustrations to be redirected at Watts? Bugger, he'e been subbed so he won't be making any more mistakes.

We were terrible through the middle and down back last week so for this game our three dropped were all forwards. So this week surprise surprise we are getting smashed in the middle and down back again. Hmmmmmm

My issue with Titan is that he goes out of his way to bag young Maric and his first comment after we were pantsed by the hawks was that Maric needed to be dropped. There were a dozen players from last weeks game that deserved to be dropped for lack of effort and it seemed a tad unfair to single out Maric who was on for just over a quarter. And you too are unfair in your comments as at times he has shown all of the things you have listed. I do agree he is yet to show all of them in one game. With me the jury is still out as to whether or not Maric will make it or not. At times I think he has shown potential and really good signs that he could actually make it but at other times he has frustrated the [censored] out of me with his lack of intensity. During the preason when he was allowed to string a few games together he was our most effective forward and against the hawks in Tassie was actually one of our best. It seems to me that he lacks confidence as history has shown that he is brought in for a game and even if ok as during the Swans game last year, his position is not safe. This year in the opening round he was ok and again demoted to sub and now we call for him to be dropped? I think the FD should give him 3-4 games in a row and then we can all have a clear picture of whether or not he is part of the plans going forward.
