6 Jack Watts - Very good at ground level for a tall player. Has good kicking skills and makes great decisions. Can also take a contested mark from time to time, too.

5 Stefan Martin - Rucked well, drifted forward. Very coordinated for his size, and has really developed almost every area of his game. Can't wait for next week against the Tiges. Jamar and Martin - together at last.

4 Jordie McKenzie - "See ball, get ball" at its' very finest. Has patches from time to time where his handballing is a little slow, but he has been so important for us.

3 Tom Scully - Was on fire early in the game. As a marathon runner, he makes a pretty good footballer.

2 Jeremy Howe - Has a fantastic leap and a very high work-rate. Petterd + effort = Howe.

1 Moloney - Could have given this to Sylvia, but Moloney's centre work is brilliant. Gets his best friend back next week, which should be nice.

Due to television rights , I can only agree with you .I am on this forum as having said Stef Martin is a gun and today re-enforces that .Sometimes Melbourne lose the plot against good teams but that's youth .Last year I wondered why he got so many games and now i know .Looking forward to getting games into more of those<20 gamers .

Also loved Dan Nicholson's game. Jet!

All played pretty well today, except don't give the ball to Clint Bartram. Ever.

Dan Nicholson was super impressive, as were the backline boys in Garland and Frawley and McDonald. Rivers had a better game too.

Geez, no love for Petterd

Had his best game for the year, did nothing wrong, instrumental in many of the early goals

Had 18 disposals, 8 marks, 9 I50s (most) - not bad for a fwd flanker

Didn't get a mention either on 774 when they discussed the dees best 8-10 players

GOOD GAME RICKY

Edit: added I50's

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
