Pathetic. Truly pathetic.

I call for a sit-in against North. Somebody call Boomer, we'll just sit down for the first 5 minutes, then somebody can boot the ball high in the air and off we go.

Tinney is at it again - wants the second doctor's report to not be accepted - said the first one said there was concussion. So the evidence should be picked through and only that evidence which supports your case should be accepted by the tribunal, and all other evidence should be thrown out? Sounds like someone is grasping at straws and knows it.

the system has failed us!

Trengove will be long remembered as the unluckiest bloke to be screwed by the AFL

[censored]....I bet they change the rule at seasons end ....meanwhile we are the scapegoat again.....fark you Vlad!

I'm off to watch the Vixens with Chip.

On the topic of netball, some of the stuff that Irene Van Dyk does on the court is more physical than what Trenners got 3 weeks for.

Its obviously now time to take court action for unfair restriction of trade.

Jack has been denied natural justice

His means of earning an income have been affected

Sue the [censored] AFL to reverse the decision and a large compensation amount

Include an injunction to prevent them enforcing any ban (Its been done before in the VFL days)

What is the world of sport coming to

Never reported in his career, including juniors!

Never reported, let alone suspended. The first time he gets cited is after the match for an incident that didn't even receieve a free kick, nor any reaction from Adelaide players, and it was for a perfectly laid tackle!

Really! This is a Travesty on his Clean Record. I think we should Fund an appeal through the courts. This is just not right. Get an injunction, or something.

Complete trash.

They have clearly ignored every argument raised - not to mention the arguments of the fans and his peers! Pre-determined result - they should've just refused the tribunal hearing and saved us all the time.

A perfect tackle for which no Adelaide player remonstrated against. If it wasn't the perfect tackle, he would've been suspended for 2 more weeks for the tackle on Brodie Smith 3 seconds later.

The panel was told by the chair on Tuesday night to regard the conduct of the tackler and not the consequence of the tackle. This has been clearly ignored as the only thing mentioned has been the concussion. How this is worse than deliberately elbowing someone to the face 50 metres of the ball is well and truly beyond the minds of mere mortals (or sane humans).

To suspend a guy who has never even been reported in his life for a perfect tackle for three weeks because the guy he tackled swung his leg as he was tackled is just the most pathetically ridiculous outcome I could have imagined.

Very angry about this, very angry indeed.

Well the AFL has set the precedent now. All losing teams should have a massive dummy spit and file doctor's reports for all their players who were injured during the course of play, whether accidentally or not. The AFL has accepted an argument that the home team has a duty of care not to hurt anyone from the away team. I hope we and all other teams follow the course of conduct established by the Adelaide sooks and go whining to Vlad. Seeing as we have two away games coming up - I hope the Roos and the Saints wrap our boys in cotton wool before tackling them, or we might get hurt and go sooking to mummy about it!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
