Remember when we had all three on our list? And, at various times we had high hopes for all three. Alas, none of them ever really reached the heights we had hoped for, and eventually two of them tried their luck elsewhere.

I know all three have been mentioned in other rececent threads. But, I don't recall anyone making the connection that all three have been delisted this year.

Yep. It's the off-season, and trivia abounds...!

I miss when they all played at Sandy and the lineup was something like Johnson, Johnson, Johnston, Johnston and Johnstone.

If anything it is a sad reflection of the clubs performance over the last decade. Remember, that these Johnsons/stones/stons were comprised of a number #1 draft pick, a father son selection and a trade to WC for a player selected in the first round.

So much promised fallen by the wayside. It is easy to shrug it off now that we have rebuilt the list, but the reality is we may be posting a similar thread about the "Jacks" if we can not manufacture a flag in the next 6-8 years. I certainly hope this is not the case.

Hardly, Trengove and Grimes have already done more than TJ in his first 4 years at MFC. PJ was always a speculative pick up as a young ruck at 20. He did not establish himself at this level. We gave up pick 29 for him in 2004.

Chris Johnson was F/S at pick 36 who wasn't a touch on his great father. Hardly a big loss there.

And aside from TJ, the other two were never pivotal to our list.

All three have nominated for the National draft.

T.J. playing for Palmerston Magpies in N.T. league with Paul Wheately.

I would be very surprised if either of them got picked up

While i do think Travis is the pick of the bunch he did have trouble with close checking opponents

Although its got nothing to do with your ability to play the game his appearance is a disgrace

Old TJ has had a chave ad looks bloody young again!

You're not going by the photo in the NT News article are you? It's from back in his MFC days...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
