At WJ's request I'm going to try to get a DVD of the game from the studio that we can distribute to you all.

That would be great.

Maybe we can get copies made for a donation that we can put back into the club or give to Reach?

Would love love love to see that last quarter. Hearing BT screaming orgasmically about Jurrah, but then seeing nothing but a random pixelated forest was so frustrating!

Jurrah certainly picked the right time to put in a massive game, considering the CEO of Kaspersky was watching his first ever AFL match.

After this he'll know for certain that their sponsorship money is going in the right place.

Apologies for the rubbish ICS feed on smgbb.cn - no idea what was going on with the bushland backdrop.

The broadcast looked great on TV over here, aside from the fact that we couldn't get audio from the staduim until half way through the first, meaning we had to commentate from the studio.

Jurrah had a field day, 5 goals, half a dozen more chances and he made it all look easy.

Really impressed with Col today, broke the lines and kicked long. Always dangerous.

They were the standout players.

Newton was tried in defense, got a bit of it. Most of the other players drifted in and out of the game.

Ah,, beauty, thanks 'Wise' & thanks Jack for thinking of us all.

Amongst all this... let's not forget two of many key players we were missing in Greeny and Chip!

I hope they have learned of our great result in Shanghai today and all the best to the duo against Ireland. :)

Love the line, "Cries of "kick it to Jurrah" could be heard ringing around the stadium as he dominated the final term and is clear the Demons have a new hero".

He continues to amaze, everything about him. Drafting him was the best thing we have ever done. Players like Jurrah create life long memories- they bring people to games and sell memberships.

It is getting harder for me to consider myself a hard done by supporter these days... we have so much to smile about!

This is the one line that schocked me from the fox sports match report:

"But Melbourne ruckman Jake Spencer kicked a long-range reply a minute later and the prodigious Jurrah then sparked into action."

Apparently is was fifty metres out AND on the run!!!

Surely this can't be right for a guy that dropped the ball kicking a set shot.

Would be great if Melbourne could release an official DVD. If not its an opportunity gone begging.

We all know it, and we have all said it... Lanky, gangly, unco ruckman take time. Sure, he's no Sandilands, but perhaps he is just that little bit less unco now.

The only continent on which the Demons are yet to prevail is Africa(I don't count Antarctica.....though I'd be pretty confident down there!).

Who says we don't travel well!!?

There has been one Australian Football game in South Africa, but we weren't in it. Otherwise , we'd have the clean sweep.

( Incidentally.....we must avoid a game in Afghanistan against Collingwood. (the stands would be full of Taliban Collingwood supporters).

Too bad we can't do anything worthwhile interstate.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
