It's very hards to see North getting a pick in the 20s AND get rid of Hale $400K/year.

Wow, $400,000 per year - where did you get that from??

If that's true then Hale can nominate a club because he holds NM over a barrel. With AAMI we have a chance - with JO we had none.

I saw that on Big Footy - yeah I know - but it came from North posters who seem to have a bit of a clue.

That would be the 2003 draft - I reckon the worst ever.

Have a look at what we missed out on from pick 20 on.

Yes, not a great deal and not a great draft for deals. (exceptions being Croad & Gram, Scotland? Meh, not really)

A least Harford went on to win media performer of the year in 2010, though I am still scratching the head over that one.

Tom Harley's "special comments" are obvious and hardly insightful... Malcolm Blight sounds like Joe Citizen giving commentatin' a "crack," and IMO if McAvaney is married, his wife is a "beard"

Just off trade week radio

Huchy reckons that we are in to Hale and we have offered up pick 12 plus 32 for Hale and pick 17

Thats a big win to North if you ask me

we are too early into our cycle of rebuilding to be trading any first round picks.

North has balked at that offer.

Not sure I am rapt about the 1st round going on Hale?

Mitch Clark - I'd throw both at him, but I'm nervous about Hale at that price.

North baulked at that offer??? I find it hard to believe that North wouldn't accept that deal & even harder to believe that our FD would be stupid enough to put that kind of a deal on the table. He is barely worth a 2nd round pick let alone pick 32 & a first round pick swap.

Spew and vomit are one and the same.

thats a bit rich fror my tastes.. esp if Hale is still going to cost that 850 over the next two. Id still think Hale handy...but not at any price.

If North baulked at that offer they can keep him !

exactly my thoughts.. run MFC run...before they change their minds :)

I do not think north are dreaming, if you want something you have to give something.

It may also entail north paying part of Hales salary.

I have said it a few times on Demonland, DB said two weeks ago that the MFC may use a high draft pick

To get a Hale Type.

They believe Hale is what we need, I will support that and see what happens.

Also our list is full of kids we need some experience.

The difference between pick 12 and pick 17, in this draft with all the 17 year olds already taken is almost insignificant. You could say its luck of the player you choose.

Effectively this is a second round offer. I think this offer is fair. I don't think we are paying overs. Its what we need.

then it ought not matter to Nth either ?? by that logic.. so why include it... If it does matter.. then were paying a bit much ( for mine)

Hale's value has hit an all time high due to the interchange rules being changed.

He is not worth what hutchy said (especially considering whoever trades for him must eat 400k pa in their salary cap for the next 2 season). Sad thing is, he will actually sell for more than he is worth due to ruck shortages.

No mention yet of any help with his wages ....is that on the table ?

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
