a slightly less impressive second half of the season i thought would cost him a spot in the 22 but gee i thought he would make the shortlist!

So you think it's a travesty that the best player in a team that won only 4 games isn't in the AA team?

It is a flat out disgrace, but I expected no less from those clowns. Hopefully one day our club commands the respect where our players aren't treated like dog excrement when it comes to these awards. That will likely only come from winning consistently. In the meantime, this has once again saved me valuable life hours not wasted watching a bland AA awards night on TV.

Winning a few games would help . . .

Seriously though, what player apart from Matthew Pavlich has a hope in hell of being All Australian if their team is bottom 4?

It is a joke... He hasn't racked up as many posessions as those players listed in the midfield, but he has more kicks than all of them (Dayne Swan has more, but is listed as a forward for some unknown reason?)... Given how well he kicks, and how easy it is to rack up large handball stats these days, he should've been included...

Started the season well and thought he would of been up there, but no suprise really.

We never really seem to get much of a run even when we were a decent team, I still havent forgiven them for putting Spider in a pocket and leaving Robbo out in 2004 I think it was when he had a stellar season.

It's harder to get a handball from the bottom of the pack than a kick you get handed to you because you stood next to a player who marked the ball.

Excellent. We'll rename it the 'All-Australian Team for 3/4 of the League' as of next season. It's simply lazy. Do they actually watch the games, or go by generalised theories like the one you (hopefully sarcastically) spouted?

Agreed.

Indeed. Davey would have got quite alot of those kicks in this case.

I was thinking the same thing.

If davey was in a top 8 team, he would of been one of the 1st picked i reckon...

He runs his ass off to get those 'easy' kicks people are posting about, then delivers with that 'left-foot precision' you see in some lefties in the league..

Davey has been the difference between a 5 gls loss and a 50 gls loss..(i exaggerate) more than a few times this year and stepped up to be one of the best outside mids in the game.. and to not even be considered?

F**k 'em! <_<

did you really think he was good enough to be picked before any of the elite midfielder from top4 sides? theres like 12 off the top of my head i would pick before him...

did people really think we whould get any AA even when the dees make grand finals we cant get many AA, i will tell you you why the dees dont get any AA its one man G.healy he is still bitter about 1987 when the dess knock the swans out in that year by over 70 points, he reason for leaving the dees was to play finals football, but which team played in GF in 1988

Thank goodness they don't watch our games.

Otherwise our "megatank" would have even got more bad press and traction from these very well respected xplayers.

In any case Davey is unlucky not to be in the squad but in my opinion is not worthy of a AA gurnsey.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
