west coast want to trade first round pick.

Won't be to us though. They want a Ready Made player, they don't want a kid.

Hope they regret it....Real Bad.

Nah that Was Charlie Watts, Drummer for the Rolling Stones!

Jeez, we are getting old

Worth consideration only, if it's thin. At his age I'm not sure it'd really be helping the squad the way people think. Looking at the Martin/Jurrah selections which have worked well, I'm all for another 20ish tall that has shown something since being turned down a couple of times from the draft. 3 times a charm, right?

Hasleby would offer more in the way of winning a couple of games than he would in terms of assisting the kids.

Like your line of thinking in that regard. Reckon Alex Silvagni would be worth consideration. Can play back and forward KP and still young. He's had a very good year with Casey?

Still trying to give this one some legs.........

I'd take Dangerfield and Adelaide's first pick (11?) for pick 2 (gives them Trengrove) which still leaves us with a tall forward option with our second pick.

They wouldn't do Dangerfield for pick 2, let alone hand over "11".

I have heard that Jamar wants to be traded to Port Adeliade

Also Steven Salopek + Travis Boak wants to come back to Victoria

Ben McKinely wants to come home

Charman wants to move clubs same with Seaby and Jonathan Griffin

Marcus Drum also wants to come back to Victoria

Also Brent Reilly may want to come home

Also maybe that Ryan Gamble want to move club so he gets move game time

Mitch Thorp and Beau Dowler also up for trade

There are some that i have heard of.

(Also Steven Salopek + Travis Boak wants to come back to Victoria) If true I'd offer Pick 2 + Rivers, for Salopek & Boak + their 1st Rnd pick, (9).

Far out.

It's begun already. I thought I could last until September and then bugger off for a while.

I hear that in their desperation for another tall forward, Geelong are giving us Ablett for Newton, and because it's plainly obvious that Sydney are in the market for a marque forward as well, they are giving us their first round draft pick for Trent Zomer.

Exactly, the way Ben Cousins is playing in the middle at Richmond. A senior Mentor in the heat of battle, even if its only for 12 months.

Except Cousins is a gun, Haselby isn't...

While I agree he is a bit one paced I would have thought his skills were as good as any of our other midfielders. Apart from Davey & Grimes of course. With McDonald possibly hanging up the boots at seasons end he could be the ideal replacement.

The reason Macca isn't list clogging this year, is because the kids are too young to play in the midfield, come next year, we'll want the Grimes, Morton's etc to be playing in the middle, Haselby would only prevent them from getting valuable experience. Furthermore, Scully and Trengove are ready made players, so presuming we draft them, Haselby would only be stealing their spots. No dice, I'm afraid.

I've got a good source that says Michael Newton wants to be delisted.

Isn't this just wanting to retire?

Doesn't need the MFC to do anything for this to happen - just do it.

If Macka stays on, I think he could play a back pocket role, while Cheney developes.

Gee...that's come from Left Field

Brian Lake from the dogs could be up as contract hasnt been extended,

good quality player there

Talk of Sydney as a possible club hunting for someone like Lake. Bulldogs confident in signing though, heard James Fantasia say that today. They will wait on re-signing Aker.

Question i need answering as best as possible.

Are Scully & Trengove as "ready made" as Daniel Rich. I saw a lot of Rich on TV. I haven't seen the 2 Boys for this year, only go on what i read.

Are they Ready for senior AFL straight away??

I believe so.

Scully will play just as many as a Rich this year IMO. He's that good.

Trengove will be ready, he's been playing for Sturt of late and playing well. Becoming accustomed to 'hard bodies' in at Senior level.

Others may have different opinions.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
