Ditto. He's an angry angry man when he's sticking up for his mates.

I don't think Collingwood will go too far out of their way to rough up Jack though. They'll give him a push and shove here and there. But if they're seriously concerned with unsettling a kid in his first game, then they haven't got their mind on the job. Would only be a good sign for us.

Not if it's done in the first 5 minutes-It would unsettle us more than them.

I would think our whole team would be straight in there if they have a go at Jack.

We need to remember to keep going the ball, I just hope Collingwood get carried away.

I honestly don't think Jack will be that fussed to be honest. Leigh Brown won't throw his weight around, that guy is a fairy. Cale Morton could beat him up.

Lets hope Col brings his baseball bat.

Dealing with the players won't be a problem. Collingwood are an average side with players like Daisy, Dingleberry, Medders, Josh "Please don't hurt me" Fraser, Wellingham, "Hold on" O'Brien, Wood and the Metre Maid (Cloke) running around, Watts should feel at ease.

The Collingwood fans on the other hand are a different story. They should have to go through metal detectors before entering the ground.

Russell ?? has to be.

Nah, Robbo's a pretty boy. It'll be the tough nuts in the centre. The likes of McLean, Moloney, Jones (providing he plays) etc. That said, it'll probably happen at least once in the forwardline, so maybe Robbo might have too? PJ? Pity there's no Neita anymore, he'd clear em up. ;)

would not be surprised if there is a modern day football all in before the bounce

maxwell ud think would be the man to start it moloney to finish it

would people be disapointed if we had a few suspensions /fines as a result?

these days with bad records and carry over points tribunal history is important in the years to come

Hmm, a bit like the line in the sand declared by Hawthorn against the Dons a few seasons back? I wouldn't be totally against it, although the tribunral history is an interesting point.

Would certainly make it difficult to win games in the 2nd Half of the season. So maybe its a good idea!!!!

And would certainly increase DVD sales of Mondays Game.

haha suspensions would make it difficult for us to win games, plus it would be even better seeing a "top 4" collingwood miss out on the finals, partly because of a fisty-cuffs on queens birthday.

My money would be on Beamer.. If he is anywhere within 50 metres.. One angry unit..

i am fully behind Beamer making anyone from collingwood understand what happens when you touch one of ours. should he be given a 2 week holiday so be it.

If you're realistic you'd have to expect them to try to rough him up... and I welcome it.

I want to see his inner fortitude tested -- I think he's ready to handle it and he will come up roses.

I'd love to see our boys fly the flag for him too, put on a real show of solidarity.

No 'Line in the Sand' incidents though -- that was over the top and you'd rather do it against a 'tough' team like Hawthorn, not kleenex-triple-ply-soft Collingwood.

Next question then.....

After one of the Filth does snipe Jack which of our lot flies the flag?

Moloney for sure.

Whelan and Sylvia to join in later.

Fines to be awarded for wrestling.

Maybe he should borrow Travis' bulletproof vest.

Let them do it. It will only fire us up.

I would also love to see Nathan Jones stick it up em with a big game. After kicking the winning goal I want to see him kiss his jumper right in the face of the Collingwood cheer squad then point to where his dad is sitting.

If they try to have a go at Watts early keep an eye on both McLean and Moloney, Beamer especially because he knows exactly what this day means and he is one person i would not want to [censored] off!

Green would probably be the closest in the forward 50 who'd be there to back him up.

I've tried wrestling with him when out drinking -- that boy can cause some serious damage

No need to protect him if he is on the bench, I think he will start on the bench until the sting goes out of the game 5mins in.

Well thats what I would do.

I'm pretty sure I heard or read Bailey saying he wouldn't be eased into the game off the bench - he'll start in the forward line.

My hit & miss memory might be playing up again though...

First in will be the top of Watt's head as he (deliberately) springs up to ask Didak why?

mr nathan jones is a shoe-in for BOG/suspension tomorrow!

im sure there will still be feelings after last times game, so he will rather fired up

btw, i think jack should start on the bench, the noise when at the 10min mark of the first qtr, he takes his jacket off, stands up and gets put on for robbo... would be incredible

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
