Broc cus hes a tough nut and passionate about the club

also i hope we done hav multiple captains cus its stupid and takes away the purpose of a leader.

Brock. No contest.

Hard nut, gun player, plays injured just like Hodge has been lauded for all week.

Says all the things you want to hear as a supporter.

Gave 10K to the Debt demolition.

A few drawbacks but they are minor.

There is no use waiting another year, regardless of the B&F result and the seasons had by Bruce, Green. Regardless of the current captains. It is inevitable that Brock McLean will be captain of the Mfc. Give it to Brock over pre-season for the start of next season. No use holding out another 12 months.

Our next premiership captain, Brock McLean, to take the role in 2009.

Brock

although..whenever i dream of the day mfc win our next flag..i've always had this vision of the front page the next day..with brad miller gritting his teeth, one arm fist pumping, the other with the cup..walking around the boundary line!

doesn't mean he's captain, but i've had vision of him holding it up with bails.

Have multiple captains like Sydney or Brisbane that includes Brock because he's still to immature to be the sole captain next year and then if he does a good job then give him the captaincy by himself in 2010. Although Brock is leader on the ground he is still very much immature off field and doesnt set a great example like doing donuts in car-parks.

Brock. Give him the responsibility and he'll mature into the role, as did one David Neitz.

Why is this on the draft/trade board?

i accidently pressed the "add post" button before even thinking about which board it was on and also didnt put the poll in

the problem is, you cant delete a thread once its started

and i dont have the power to move this thread or put a poll in so im patiently waiting for a mod to move it and put a poll in ;)

Need someone to carry us through to the fruition of the 5 year plan. Based on age, passion and talent Brock is the only logical choice.

Macca and greeny are great leaders,b ut will not be here to lead in 5 years when the dees are ready to capture a flag.

1st choice Chooka

2ng Green

3rd................no one :)

GREEN ... capt

McLean... v capt

Miller ...co v capt

Chooka! Our next captain will hopefully be our Premiership Captain in 5 years time. Green won`t be around then and I am not even convinced he will be with us next year at this stage although he certainly has shown plenty of leadership qualities in the past 2 years! Having a permanent midfielder as skipper is crucial for us IMO, so Brock is the logical choice.

Maybe he is trying to buy the captaincy with his 10k donation? Hope not!

Brock the rock! Shoe in!

If he is overlooked. The club has real issues! And I would be very concerned.

If he is overlooked i think he has real issues has not been a role model for captain as yet unles you class street fights and being a hoon is good enough for you

Personally James Mac is my clear choice

Junior is my choice as well, but I think you're wrong about Brock. He matured a lot this year, and taken a lot of on-field responsibility, he should be captain when Junior retires.

What about the fact the he has the maturity of a 13 year old.

Minor drawbacks??

If he gets the job, it will be because he bought his way there.

Good to see Bruce only getting 5%of the vote (although still too high in my opinion)

Is it possible that in my absence some of you learned a thing or two?
