Pretty much spot on this week, though its a lot easier when we have an even team effort and a solid win.

Thought Buckley's 'carelessness' in his disposal had improved a lot today. He seemed much surer of his kicking than in previous performances, and his defensive pressure was first rate. The 2 tackles he laid from big chases were fantastic and something that he'd never shown before. Credit to the kid for being told what to work on, and going back to Sandy and doing it. He's a very exciting player.

Nearly everyone put in today, not great skills but guts, grit, determination and heart. If not for the umpires, we should have won comfortably. A few players in and we are looking good. Maybe a Watts or Nik Nat, with Miller, Sylvia, Aussie, Davey, Maric hooning around, our team doesn't look so shite after a win haha

with essendon winning today, they are definitely going to finish above us. Port Adelaide have a good % and 4 wins, so 99% probability that they too will finish above us, even if they tank and lose every game for the rest of the year!

so that means we are guerenteed a top 3 pick.

there are 3-4 absolute standouts this year---- Naitanui (gun athlete/ruck), Rich (midfielder), Watts (key forward) and Hurley (Key back).

so whatever happens, we are guerenteed one of these upncoming stars.

If we come 15th, there is also a high likelihood of WCE or Freo choosing Rich over Naitnaui, so we can pick him up anyways at pick 3.

It would be a lil disspaointing if we got pick 3 only, because that means we miss out on Rich and Naitanui

I agree. I'm sorry guys and understand it's solely my opinion but Jamar has to go. With the possibility of Warnock, and then maybe Naitanui I just don't see a reason to keep him. As I said to my girlfriend at the game today, being over 200cm's does not mean you're an AFL player. Hell I even saw this guy struggle to sheppard... how can a man that size not block opposition? Play him through the year all you like Bailey I just don't see this clanger machine improving.

PS: Once again, happy to go without Naitanui if I get to see the guys play like that. My voice is hoarse and with work tomorrow I couldn't care less. Great game from Miller and I continue to view Green as our best listed player. Not playing as potential suggested he would but I think i'm happier with what he is as opposed to a pinch hitting forward.

If Jamar doesn't even back himself (ie. handballs it off whenever he can.. lost count of how many times he did this today), how can we be expected to back him? Yes he was great in the ruck but with kicking, sheparding, etc.. . I simply do not trust him with the ball.

We are building for the future and I just cannot see that Mark Jamar is there.

Did you even watch the game? Every time he got the ball, he passed it off to a player running around the back, knowing that if he did kick it, he'd turn it over. That's smart. Knowing your limitations is a fantastic quality. The only time I can remember him butchering the ball, is when he didn't have a player to palm it off to. Instead of getting the support he needed from his team-mates, he kicked it out on the full. If he'd had help, he would have been responsible for yet another positive forward thrust - as he was all day.

i thought it was jamar best game for the club today. beat charman quite well. i thought his efforts around the stoppages were fantastic where he used his body very effectively with second efforts. his kicking is average at best, but today i thought his use of handball was reasonable considering most of the time he got it he was in the clinches. apart from the oof i thought he had a pretty good game.

At worst he was even with Charman, some might argue he was better. His kick was a shocker but other than that he had a good game. Even with horrible disposal the 3 word summary is still spot on. His disposal efficiency was better than McLean, Jones, Wonna, CJ, Bode and Valenti, more than a quarter of the team.

The majority (if not all) of passes he gave off were from cheap marks around the boundary and then he handpassed to players behind him that were stationery. You handpass to players behind you when you're in attacking mode and the receiver is pushing forward. If you handpass behind from some cheap mark on the boundary then it means you're passing the buck and too weak to make a decision. If you're on the boundary you should be passing - by hand, foot or otherwise - to players providing attacking options, not players standing still behind you. I'm over Jamar, what annoys me more is that the players that he gives it to even put themselves in that position and ask for it, but hack players need to be carried and bring everyone else down. His ruckworks improving but there is no room for 1 dimensional players in the modern game.

Plenty of times I saw guys on the ground for a few minutes then they came running off the ground at full pace then stayed on the bench for a minute and went back on. And I also frequently saw players, such as Jones, running full pace across the ground to the bench only to be told they weren't allowed to come off yet. Just seems to me like they'd find it hard to sorta get into the game if they're being taken off and on so often..?

Maybe the players were confused a bit but sure there is a system and with brocky mia would have confused the balance greatly, was at Rich v Carlton sat next the bench 2 rows from the front and was surprised to see the amount Wallace changed frequently and Carlton seemed to be doing most in red time.

also highly recomend if you dont sit in that area and get a chance take it great view players level and the goings on ect makes you want to jump the fence and have a dip

I thought Jamar was a true ruckman today, something we have missed for the past 3 years. Worked hard to get back into the space, lokked good in the ruck contests and handed the footy most of the time to players with better foot skills. He didn't stand on the wing by himself getting easy kicks.
