  2. I am thoroughly bewildered by the outrage about OMac being named an emergency. It’s not often these days that I see something on these forums that I haven’t seen before, but this one is definitely new.

  3. Myself and Mrs Worship went out to Coburg on Sunday and met up with a regular Training and VFL watcher /devotee. We had an extensive discussion regarding Preuss and our friend pointed out that in the previous 3 outings watching Preuss he had been dominate in the first half and also kicked multiple goals but ran out of legs in the second half. We proceeded to watch this occur again although it wasn't as obvious as previous. This may have been because the ball was camped in our forward line for 75% of the game. We came away from the game thinking Preuss will get his chance when his engine improves or heaven forbid, Max misses a game. As an aside, this is the second Casey game I've been to where the 3qtr time huddle has broken up and I've observed Maxy walking away with Preuss and Maxy coaching and encouraging him. I like this a lot. I would not be at all surprised if Max's opinion isn't being sort when it comes to when Preuss gets a call up.

  4. That's fantastic from JKH. Out of contract, not being given much of a go, others in his position at AFL level being allowed more chance to find form and he goes and shows the coaches what he can do in tough conditions. Sure, might not be a star, but that's a great response.

  5. Good boy JKH - ANB and Hannan must be hearing footsteps

  6. Apart from two goals scored in quick succession, it's been difficult to score even with the wind. Casey need a couple more goals - and JKH gets one they lead 58 - 24 and we are past the half way mark of the quarter

  12. jesse hogan @jesseBhogan Tom Morris is commentating the World Cup? It’s his first call up or I haven’t being paying enough attention. #mute jesse hogan @jesseBhogan Honest leech. Had a job at Melbourne football club that was private and used it and leaked private conversations to get a leg up. Not even involving me but genuine leech of a personality. Have never seen a faker figure in media.

  13. It's very form dependent, but as it stands right now I would, and I would also put him in ahead of Hannan in that regard. I think JKH ranks 3rd out of those 3 when all are in form, but Hannan has struggled since coming back in and ANB has struggled at senior level all year. They're all very close though, either (or both) of Hannan and ANB could have good games tomorrow and be back in front. How both of them perform for the rest of year could determine JKH's contract status rather than his own performances in my opinion.

  17. I understand the frustration that goes with players like Smith and AVB getting injuries and not playing this year and certainly there always seems a need on this site to find a scapegoat. But don't people understand the stupidity of diagnosing a players injuries from a distance with little or no knowledge of the medical history of the player or the sequence of events leading to an injury. Do people really think that it's all Dave Misson's fault? Do you think that after over a decade in his role he would make a blatantly stupid decision about a players health and risk a long term injury for a JLT match? I know many here blame Misson and think he's stupid but to me the boot is firmly on the other foot.

  18. Was thinking about playing in the coming weeks rather than contracts. Since you asked: Contract renewal order for me would be JKH, ANB, Stretch. For mine, they are all depth players and not regular 22's. But I would play JKH ahead of the 2 in the coming weeks. But Dunkley might get selected ahead of all three. He is more likely a future 22 and it will be a good test to have a few games this year.

  19. Thanks for the posts KC JKH has to go in next week.....reward him not only for his rehab to get back but has been a standout for the last 2 weeks with speed & goal scoring. Better than bottom few in the senior team ATM......

  28. With Preuss dominating in the ruck, Casey have done all the attacking but finding goals hard to get as the game settles into a slog in the wet. C Wagner and JKH going well. 17 - 6.

  29. Another boring match. I'd envy Geelong for being so methodical and disciplined as a team, but the place is a dump and their best player is a homophobe. The comp is in a terrible state with them up the top.

  30. I have simple fix for the issue of having to use use technology (replays and stupid things like sensors - i mean what will happen when a player cannons into the post at exactly the same time as the ball passes it?) to determine if the the ball touches the post It is free, and would NEVER result in an error. Not one. It would make no material difference to the game, does not waste any time and it eliminates unnecessary controversy. And it can be implemented at all levels of the game - from the under 8s to the AFL. And it is dead simple. Change the rule so that it is a goal if it goes through the space between the goal posts EVEN IF IT HITS THE POST. If it hits the post and stays in the field of play it is a point.

  31. Yeah that was laughable. The soundwave was all over the place. It provided absolutely no insight to the viewer at home. If that is what the goal reviewers are using...wow. The entire goal review system takes amateur hour to levels you couldn’t imagine.

  32. The issue is not with the individual players he is selecting, it is the type of players he is selecting. You don't win premierships with 173cm slow forwards with no tricks, and certainly not by selecting them in the second round.

  40. At the half way mark of the term, Casey 5.9.39 to Box Hill 2.1.13. The Demons turning it into a dour defensive struggle with Jimmy Munro having a bit of influence on that score.

  46. What is the AFL doing trialing a new technology past the half way mark in a supposedly professional competition instead of JLT etc?? And when you watched the snicko on the Adelaide reversed decision it was distorting all over the place before the ball even arrived at the post. Yet there was roaming lunatic Brian calling it a successful call! ? GWS has a circus theme song, instigated by the Circus master, Gil, who is commanding an entire circus including Channel 7 (Hamish). For as long as the bulk of Clubs continue to scoff down this rubbish without saying a word I have no sympathy for the Clubs or anyone involved with the AFL, including us. While the clubs continue to eat [censored] Sandwiches then Gil and whoever comes in to replace him will keep serving them up.

  47. Hard, tough as nails, goers. To make that team, you had to be the best in all regards. That is what made the team so great. What occurred on the field, stayed on the field. No second thoughts at all. Obedient - if the Coach said do this, and Ronald Dale nodded, it was done. Some of them were professionals, doctors, lawyers, pollies. They let of steam on Saturday arvo on the footy field. Legends of which to be proud.
