  1. Why don't you go to training to see for yourself what is going on, no one is forcing you to read Saty's posts. For supporters like myself who don't live in Melbourne all the training reports are appreciated.

  2. Yes, but you jinxed him?? gave his head a good belt on the ground during the tackling drill, left looking a bit worse for wear, uptil then was really good, received praise a couple of times for his shot selection during ball movementt drills The small forward competition is on, during the tackling drill Garlett, Spargo, Bedford, Corey Wagner and JKH all trying to outdo each other which can only benefit the team Forgot Chandler, edit Walked back to AAMI with James Harmes, had a laugh comparing the skinny blonde kid with the toothy smile from 5 years ago to the man I was walking next to now, he said he is the fittest he has ever been and is one solid unit Oliver completed the whole session with the main group

  3. Saty baits people. STMJ has swallowed the hook and can't cough it up. We can't expect to agree with everyone here so we should accept the differences. If you don't like them block them, constant bitching is tiresome. Thanks to all those that report on training, I expect you to have biases we all have them. The best bias is we are Melbourne supporters.

  4. Any updates Saty? For the small minority of posters who seem to take exception at your opinions, there are a lot more mostly silent readers who really appreciate the training updates you provide and don't take exception to your views.

  5. Agreed and I don’t see why anyone would be upset at Saty asking people not to use his photos without permission

  6. I found two of my photos unattributed on another forum, hence my post, Internet etiquette I don't need the attention Ethan, I just find a small group of posters on here insufferable blowhards, it's not me, as you can see, who starts this, on this occasion using a lack of comprehension the reason to launch Anyway back on topic, it was a lovely sunny morning at Goschs, I wish Even with the atrocious weather, it was a really good solid session, with lots of emphasis on ball movement in the drills On the rehab side it was just Tim Smith, Melksham and Lever, with Hibberd, Jetta, Baker and Viney doing a couple things in rehab as well, but also some main group drills Jones and KK were inside, don't blame them Lever was kicking and jumping at the ball, so progressing nice Session finshed with a very willing tackling session, we have a specialist coach for this as well now

  8. Here are the new training guernseys without the blue background on the Zurich logo. Admittedly there is no red yolk on the jumper but it looks so much better.

  9. Why does every training thread end up in a shitfight? Surely everyone is happy to find out what is happening at training without resorting to that rubbish? Personally I think every snippet is great.

  10. I think what Saty refers to is not having permission to use his photos in other venues. If there is a saty photo in a post you are allowed to quote that post on Demonland. I guess he doesn't want you coping his photos and using them somewhere else. As to baiting, if you are a serial baiter you will get a holiday, just ask stevethemanjordan. This goes to Saty as well. Let's keep on topic.

  11. About to start So lots of running, kicking, marking etc Just a note, Demonland has permission to use my Insta photos, nobody else does, so if you want to use, ask my permission, otherwise they won't be on Demonland either Will do a bit of 'reporting' later

  12. I attended my first training session for the year yesterday and whilst it wasn't really a proper training session I did notice that there are two posts positioned about 18 inches inside the normal goal posts providing an even smaller target to kick a goal. I'd imagine it's to sharpen our goal kicking. On Hibberd I read in the paper that he thought he'd done his hammy on Saturday but scans had cleared him. I imagine that's why he's on restricted duties. Having spoken to a couple of people yesterday my impression was that all bar Lever are expected to be fit and available for R1 based on their current injury status. Good news

  14. Being up in Qld I also welcome ALL training reports including Saty's and expect them to continue. We must remember everyone has an opinion which MUST be respected even if you do not agree.

  15. Hi I can understand the need and place for separate forums but I would like to suggest that the AFLW forum be merged with the main board. This is not to suggest that they do not deserve their own place but until the competition grows in recognition it would be great if we could increase its exposure on the main board. Would also give the excellent posters on the AFLW some greater exposure. Cheers from Malda in West Bengal where AFLW is on everyone's lips !!

  16. Personally, I value his reports - the photography is commendable and memorable - I do not need individual copies - and living in Adelaide makes any training attendance impossible yet there is no let-up about needing to know who, what and when players are progressing, preparing well and performance standards. Thanks, Sat, for these valuable inputs and your consideration to responsive DL members.

  17. +10000 It's the same tiresome bores that take umbrage with Saty. I'm bound to a desk and I love the training reports and can filter out the fugazi.

  18. Cant wait for R1 so that we can talk about the real things that matter ? Glad that the boys have had 2 wet weather training sessions on a row. Gets them ready for season proper

  19. Possibly Bartlett’s idea. He would know a thing or two about employment law and incentive schemes. Both party’s would need to sign the contract so Goody would have to be happy. Surely it would be more like a CEO type contract with a decent termination payout. But if Goody is an optimist he’ll be ok with an open ended contract, as he would be better rewarded if we have success. If he’s a pessimist he would want a longer fixed term contract that pays him regardless of performance. I’ll put my money on Goody being totally happy with an open ended contract and backing himself to be remunerated as a premiership coach sooner rather than later.

  20. I have been to 4 or 5 sessions this year I think and noted the high numbers in rehab but the rehab work has been pretty solid for the most part. Plenty of running of course and heaps of drills with the balls. The only players that have been limited in their preparation to the point it will impact on round 1 availability are Jones (laps, boxing only for many sessions) and Lever, laps and more laps and perhaps Baker (laps, more laps). As I mentioned in yesterday’s training thread, I spoke to Justin Plapp who was really unbeat about the rehab group and that players were now coming back to full training regimes from a solid base of work that they have all been doing.

  21. And with that, i'm tipping Trac to have a 50.30 goal season!

  22. Start a poll, you would be lucky to get 10% support for putting AFLW stuff on the main forum. It would ruin it actually.

  23. An option might be to have the 'AFLW: Rd x vs xxx' thread on the main board for that week. That thread seems to pick up all the news for the week: team selection, injuries, game day comments, Coaches votes, TOTW etc etc etc all in one place. At the end of the week it is moved to the AFLW board and start again with the next round's thread. This gives the game exposure during the season with only one thread at a time on the main board.

  25. In 1969 friends of the family pulled up in the driveway in this brand new car. I was 6 years old, and had not seen one before. It looked stunning inside and out The original Dashboard with the row of Rocker Switches across is still in my memory. The 4.2 Litre XJ6 looked like a cat, long and low. Going for a ride up the street i can still remember. “What kind of car is this dad?” ”A Jaguar” i knew about Jaguar. I had a Corgi E Type but this was a real Jaguar. A design, like the Porsche 911 was used for almost 30 years. The Big Cat welcome to the MFC

  27. Forgot, no sgn of May And for those who have been to Goschs, Tommy Mac hasn't forgot how to do the defensive spike/punch in the wet, was about 3 metres from fence and put it through the trees and onto Punt Road, impressive

  28. Thank you Ernest... you lift the tone as always. May I remind you of another of your famous quotations... “Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.” PS: No aspersions of course on your character of course Ernest... BTW been fishing lately

  31. Another in favour of putting it in the main forum... my browser defaults to this forum page and so I tend to miss updates on the AFLW forum unless I consciously go looking for them; something that’s easier said than done when you’re brain-dead.

  32. I support the OP. Essentially, though, it just proves I'm lazy. It's not that hard to go to the AFLW Board, but I don't do it. Having said that, I think having AFLW intermixed with the men's will enhance our women's team by increasing their exposure.

  37. The F1 team was bought out by Red Bull, so they had part of it right still use the same factory Probably never put in the top $$$’s but Tom Walkinshaw had huge success Ever seen inside a Jaguar Dashboard from the 80’s with the top off? Scary Stuff A mate had an XJ6 for years, she was beautiful to ride in, but a nightmare if the electrics went dodgy!!

  38. Their foray into formula 1 was not that successful. Lovely logo though and it's nice to have something on the jumper that people actually know. Took me years to work out who in the hell SEW were on the Hawks jumper !! Almost bought one a couple of years back. Out of the West the luxury cars were going relatively cheaply after the mining boom came to an end.

  40. I can see the appeal. We have a down year this year and you get the 'why did he get a 3 year extension', and then when the next deadline is closing in you get more speculation. Or we are very successful over this next contract and then we're looking at paying him megabucks. Locking him in to a regular staff contract might achieve more certainty for both parties. The concern is every year becomes a contract year if you get to the stage where there's no pay outs (assuming there's some protections over the early years for Goody). I've seen enough from Goodwin to think he's a very good coach who can adapt and grow with the job. Things will only go badly wrong if he's surrounded by the wrong people or the wrong players. That's not to say Goody alone can bring sustained success but if you abandon the idea of the messiah coach you can treat Goodwin as a vital foundation to build upon.

  41. Yes it was a very light session. I spoke briefly to Justin Plapp who said a number of players pulled up sore after Saturday’s training, guessed they were not used to wet weather footy. He was upbeat about the squad and how they are training, that the rehab group is getting smaller by the week and that Clarrie is back to full training. As KK ran past he commented that he is going to be very good for us this season.
