  1. He's making it up both Trac and Hogan trained this morning, I have the pics to prove it? Trac took a couple of strong grabs and Hogan moved really well

  3. No. You’re confusing a number of things. It wouldn’t make sense to be fined for replacing an injured player - that’s the whole point of the emergency system. - The final changes for a Sunday game will always come from the extended bench, and the three not selected will be the emergencies. - if a player is injured and can’t play (ie late change), he must be replaced by one of the emergencies - the club is fined if it uses a non-emergency as a replacement.

  7. Couldn't happen to a nicer set of f***ing @rseholes. But seriously, they will never get over it until they say, yeah, we did it. We wish we didn't, it wasn't good, it caused harm, but there you are. We did it. And this is how. They would be surprised how accommodating people can be if you just come clean.

  8. Two questions 1. Is Daniher the dumbest player in the game? 2. Is Goddard the most unpleasant (and overrated) player in the game?

  9. Is this the first time McCartin and Petracca have played against each other? From the same draft year Lever and OMc should find themselves on Paddy during the match PS. Just found this 2014 HS article saying St Kilda would take Petracca. Thank god they didn’t http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/st-kilda/christian-petracca-set-to-join-st-kilda-with-no1-draft-pick/news-story/c481c0de624fae589da45dc449a9219c

  10. I start very few threads, in fact i think this is probably only my 2nd or 3rd in my time on DL. But i am really excited about a new innovation on afl.com called stats pro. Well to be precise excited about the video element where you can watch the edited video of every players involvements for each game from the start of 2017. The involvements match the stats collected on afl stats pro, so spoils, one percenters, score involvements, frees against, kicks, marks, clangers etc. You can watch every involvement or just highlights. But you can also select specific involvements (which are often part of clusters of involvements). Unfortunately it is only for telstra mobile customers who have live pass but i wanted to flag it those who have live pass. It is brilliant and a fascinating way to analyse how individual players perform. Genuinely new way to absorb the game and will definetley allow viewrs to assess players more objectively. Ive watched the video for about 8 of the players from the bombers game. Addictive. One player that was interesting was tyson. His game was much better than i haf thought it was. Got caught a couple of times and a couple of clangers but jeez he was involved in alot of good clearances and scoring chains. Weideman was another whise game was better than i had thought (albeit still not fantastic). He looks quite a natural ruck man. Has anyone used this yet?

  15. This is just last week’s game against us. Worst first half ever before Hawthorn remember they’re not obliged to play at the Bummers level and power away. My favourite part about Essendon at the moment is they’ve got no excuse at all for being so shit, they just are. Love it.

  22. Crushing wins should be a given, it what comes after that matters, a point that needs to be reinforced to the players. After round 3 some people were advertising the fact we were 3rd on the ladder and we all know what happened after that. Saints Etihad Suns Gabba Blues MCG Crows Traeger Park Dogs Etihad Pies MCG Bye Get to the bye undefeated and then maybe some trust will be regained. There is no more honourable losses for this club.

  25. In the English Premier League they don't even allow a Ref to oversee a game if they live in or were born in the home city - just take any perceived bias out of the conversation - seems AFL should do the same with Leigh

  28. Lucky I got on last night with those 3 with Silent Warrior shortening the way it has ? Not that I thought you'd pick Land of Plenty ... I just liked the horses chances anyway. Good choice Wadda. The Robert Sangster Stakes is a good betting race and now that Viddora is out, any number of horses can get into the finish.

  30. Don't see why not, both seemed happy at the end of the session and neither sought any attention during it Only issue Salem, Clarry and Trac playing soccer at end of session, Salem delivered a beautiful 50 metre pass for Trac to head in, made a complete breakfast of it much to everybody's amusement, can see why basketball was second sport Even though it was a light session emphasis on fast ball movement, marking and goal kicking, Tommy Mc pisses me off, not one miss in the 3 drills they had??

  31. Ok got it. looks good Macca, ill be getting on. So for my pick, after doing the form i came up with Silent Warrior....followed by Savapinski....I was going to go for Pleasuring plc at Morphettville, but there are many good horses in that race. So im going for Flemington Race 7 No 8 Land of Plenty $2.20. Its pretty short but should get up. Morphettville Race 2 No.8 Silent Warrior $2.40 (in from $4.00) Morphetville R8 No1 Savapinski. $3.30 Flemington Race 7 No 8 Land of Plenty $2.20. Gives us $17.42 for your dollar. Get on!! WE ARE SO DUE!!

  32. Went to the game, cold and terrible to watch, contemplated leaving at half time as the skill level was atrocious. GWS were deplorable, no fight, no run, no leadership. They do have plenty of injuries but Cats have a few out also and Danger and Selwood didn't dominate. Tim Kelly is a star and Ratugolea can be a serious star if he gets his timing right going for marks. Shiel seemed like the only one providing run and drive for GWS, can we get him? When the AFL planned the fixture they would've thought short odds to assume that this would be a highly skilled Friday night game but it was everything else but that, no good marks or freaky goals that I can remember. A loss to GWS helps others in the race as they could've gone clear, but from what I've seen this year of them they aren't genuine contenders and I agree with Carey. Today's games I'd like to see Dogs thump Suns so their confidence takes a beating, Bombers to upset the Hawks. Feeling a bit nervous about Dees game, its one we should win very comfortably (40+) but we all know our bipolar performances too well, a loss to a severely depleted and woefully skilled STK would raise serious questions IMO. Fingers and testicles crossed.

  33. Yep, another prime FTA slot tonight for the worst team in the league. A certain snooze on Ch7: Adel vs Carlton!!

  34. I'd believe that if there actually was a GWS player within arm's reach at the time. Looks more like he realised what he was doing and pulled back. But what he should be got for is his frequent belting a player who takes a mark against him. Serial offender.

  35. It is a stronger team but there are form gaps and pace gaps, plus a few who could be very strong against the Saints team that have been overlooked/omitted. I feel that Garlett could have learned his endeavour lesson, Pedo's strength is needed in the fwd line and although largely meaningless, the 'on paper' setup of the fwd line with Hoges at CHF is not a good start. TMac needs to be at CHF with Hoges at FFWd. Another tall / ruck respite needs to be on the bench - unless Goodwin plays the FPocket changes for rucks. Lever just aint a CHB playing better as a floater off the flank for intercepts. The centreline looks slow where the Saints are speedy, and there is concern about the team playing both the slowing Vince and Lewis in the same team, and the ill-directing Tyson across the midline - once again asking a little too much of Jones and Oliver to account for the midfield drive - so lotsa long bombs are going to be the flavour of the MFC gameplan. If TMac was played at the CHB position, and the speed was centred from HFwd into the deep Fwd line, it might work through the release of Hogan, Pedo, Weideman and the smalls like Hannan, Fritz, Spargo and Garlett. at the incomings and bringing the ball to ground. Hibberd needs to be used as the backline utility from the HBFlank to maximise our chances of crossing the centre to the Fwd line setups as reliance on Tyson's kicking and Lewis' speed is rather shaky. Frosty may have been considered to re-stock this HB drive from the bench., as well, instead of Harmes. Just an opinion.... Petracca needs to be 'centred' for midline drive to the fwds and to receive that from the backs - a two-way target for the whole team.

I brought some Melbourne gear anyway in a home jumper, away jumper and training t-shirt. Brought a hoodie, track suit jacket and shoes with the vouchers saving over $200, it's worth doing it's a bargain.

  39. This is an insult to Leigh. I know him and often discuss umpiring and how they assess their performance with him. He has umpired many St Kilda games before and I doubt anyone has noticed and I think he is one of the better umpires hence you tend not to notice him. Jayden Hunt believes he is one of the better umpires as well. Leigh recently umpired his 100th AFL game only the 2nd former player to do so and this questioning of his impartiality is wrong.

  40. I guess the precedent was set last year when Jeffy was dropped for poor form, didn't play VFL (I think due to yet another bloody bye) , then was back in the seniors without having to prove anything. By all accounts he did nothing at Casey to justify reinstatement. IF he gets back it IMO sends a very bad message.
