We know your thoughts on this pick and the player we took, try and disguise it any way you like. He is not ours Mods close this thread before we have 20 pages again of the debate regarding our first pick in the 2012 draft9 points

Forget Melbourne for a second, even though that was a pathetic umpiring display, especially the first half. The Carlton vs GWS match was the worst umpired match i have ever seen. 22-8 free kicks, yet some were absolute [censored] rubbish. The Carlton supporters continue to complain about the umpiring. I have had enough of the umpires umpiring games with lob-sided and rubbish decisions. Yes, i understand that they have a tough job, but get real, it has been pathetic this year. The holding the ball rule changes from minute-minute. The holding the man rule is god damn pathetic. AFL, please establish some consistency, i have had enough.7 points

Lazy effort today. Stop start. No running up the field. Kicking to position was atrocious with players continually sitting under the ball waiting to get smashed by some nobody Roos player. Howe had his worst game for a long time. Either went up as a third man and took out two of his team mates or hit it to a Roos player. Dean Kent hardly sighted. Viney did nothing. Salem looked tired. Pedo didn't seem to do anything and was surprised how many stats he had. Bail was very ordinary. Jetta has his colours lowered. Jamare was smashed. Tyson was ineffective. NJones tried hard but has to stop calling for the ball when he is in a bad position. Too many times today he ran behind a player looking for a cheap h/ball and he got pounced on. Bernie was stellar. Our kick ins were unbelievably repetitive. We would huddle. The Roos would zone. Dunn would chip to himself, run to the right side and shoot a low bullet to a 2 on 1. Really disappointing day. They are a cra p football club with cra p supporters.7 points

We do not need another thread for the anti-Toumpas brigade to start their bleating for the 100th time. It happened. We know your thoughts. Cry us all a river. And get lost.7 points

North worked way harder than us and deserved to win by more. We were very poor I thought, so many skill errors and poor decisions.6 points

Whenever I see the name North Melbourne on the fixture, I get a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach. Don't have it today but then, it's a late start when you play a twilight game.5 points

Dreadful game too many of our players were down, Jones probably gave away 5 goals with turnovers, Jack Viney needs a rest in the 2's he looked knackered today. Our hand passing was predictable and they cut us to ribbons with their anticipation. Our backs were trailing their forwards all day and that applies to around the ground as well, they were always in front we were always trailing behind. Our forwards didn't lead and our defenders didn't defend. Our mids got caught and continually took the wrong options, panic set in and became contagious. Jack Watts tries to do to much and has to learn, like Nathan Jones, that it's not up to him to win the game off his own boot; take the first option Jack and don't try to be too fancy. Big wake up today, some of our players were getting ahead of themselves and need to stop trying to over do it.5 points

Can't stand Lindsay Thomas. He got a tiny clip on the jaw and went down faster then Iraqi diplomacy. That part didn't bother me that much but then he carried on doing half push ups as if he was trying to not be knocked out. Fair dinkum [censored].5 points

I am absolutely bleeding. God I hate north and Brad Scott. If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and Scott Thompson, I would shoot Thompson twice5 points

Apparently pointing out that a coach indulged in a selfish emotional boil-over on the field = nanny state / political correctness. Tough love my 4rse. I'm sick of people trying to pass off chest-beating, grandstanding, and an endless battle up and down the pecking order, like it was some kind of meaningful system for getting the most out of people. The death throes of racism, sexism, homophobia, picking on the short kid, and any other excuse they could dig up to say someone else is not as important as you. I'm sick of the 'nanny-state is coming to get us' sooks. Put a f-king seatbelt on and don't drive drunk, it's not hard. I'm sick of the 'political correctness gone mad' sooks. Political correctness is just a nation trying to tell you to stop being an 4rsehole, it's not hard.5 points

I don't want to be mean to the Casey listed players but there are obvious issues there. I have seen quite a few of their games this year. They are young and small. They have lost too much experience over the last couple of years and went young this year. Due to this the whole side lacks any structure. Fitz was really the only tall guy to kick it to in the forward line and gawn was the only tall guy around the ground. This is pretty easy for the opposition to counter. Especially when they have an abundance of talls themselves. With Clark retiring, hogan injured, spence out for the year and all the injuries to tall players in the preseason and early season Casey has hardly any tall players. The opposition have much better experienced VFL listed players. Caseys have had a very ordinary year. They don't seem to be able to get their hands on the footy and turn it over very easily when they do. A lot of the time the turnovers have really hurt the team as everyone has been caught out of position. I don't really mind whether they win or not. I just want to see the players learn their roles. I have no doubt that is what our coaches are after. Of yesterday's game some players had good patches and some put in for most of the game. Some are really struggling. I think blease played his best game this year. He still made a few mistakes but it was a 4 quarter effort. Gawn tried hard the whole game. Dropped a few marks he will take in the future with more footy under him. Has missed heaps of footy with injury and hasn't done a full preseason. Was competing with big bodies the whole game rotating on him and was knackered at the end. I think he will be a better player in the future playing under these pressures. Jkh needs a week off imo. Been a long season for him. Would be close to having already played more games than last year. Michie also played his best game imo. Strauss is a friend of a friend and a good bloke but i don't think he is going to make it. He really lacks confidence ATM. Georgiou played a terrific game. His opposition was a lot taller and he was rarely beaten 1v1. He made a few mistakes but tell me a player t our club that hasn't. Would be nice if he was 10 odd cm taller. Fitz is playing on his own in the forward half, most outnumbered with some poor delivery coming in. Another big forward would change our perceptions on him. Evans is struggling imo. Fades in and out of the game too much. I thought toumpas played ok. Was much more aggressive in his tackling and at the ball. Nicholson had a shocker. I don't know what to make of Barry. He was tagging again and it will be interesting to hear what Brett says about his game5 points

His primary role is as a lockdown defender. The fact that he provides such good run is a really nice bonus. He's a very good young key defender, and this thread is awful.4 points
-
Really?!? A young key defender was beaten (?) by a mature and talented key forward at times on the lead when they were isolated inside 50. And the lockdown key defender isn't a great kick. This is enough for you to be 'officially over' him? Your opinion is not worth the paper this thread isn't written on.4 points

If the young guys need a break, give them a break. But not at Casey. [censored] them on the track for a long session during the week if we have to, but give them the weekend off. Make them sit in the Coaches box and listen to what goes on during the game. Surely there is no better way of learning?4 points
-
They went lower at the contest, they ran harder and faster both ways and executed skills better. The only positives were Vince's form and that last year that would have been an 80+ point loss. Now 40 point losses are annoying rather than an acceptance of an ok performance.4 points

It was actually laughable. The half @ssed effort which looked like a push up to get up then the collapse, what a disgusting scene that was. He didn't have a spot of blood on him, which is what you'd expect the way he was carrying on. Pathetic and weak individual.4 points
-
The one and only positive I take away from this loss is that we've basically kicked Essendon in the guts two weeks running by keeping them out of the 8. Life is poetry, even in defeat.4 points
-
Back down to Earth this week, but nevertheless it was an 80 point turnaround. Lest we forget, we're coming from a LONG way back. It's not going to be sunshine and roses every week.4 points
-
i hold a grudge like the best of them. I was having a ripping season until he did that too. Never forgotten. When Barry Hall almost made his eyeballs pop from his head by giving him a head-lock i couldn't have been happier.4 points
-
Half-time and we're only 14 points down despite being smashed for the second week in a row. We need to grow a collective brain during the break and play the way Roosy wants us to. Clean up our disposal and we can beat this umpire-loving, free-kick staging bunch of girlie-boys.4 points

I'm loathe to make any excuses for Thomas but after he was clipped by Jordie and went to ground Nev Jetta was off balance and dropped a knee into his lower back. I think that's why he was doing the back arches. Hope it hurt.3 points

Really hoping North need to beat us in the last game to make finals and we can break that disgraceful streak they have over us.3 points

Don't care anymore. Don't like this free agency stuff, it inflates players opinions of themselves. Frawley is a good player - we need very good players. Not guns to our heads by precious players! Bernie Vince is a far better player than Frawley. We need more of him.3 points

The Dees didn't make me an alcoholic, but I don't think I could've kept supporting them without it. I love this footy team. And scotch. Scotchy scotch.3 points

So much negative [censored] on here... North as much as I hate them are a better team than us right now. We haven't played well... Its a work in progress.3 points

Another reality check on the journey teams on the rebound and a week of criticism are always difficult opponents, but keep fighting boys. I hate Meth Coast more than any side but since 2007 North have been right up as a team I despise, my dislike for them has grown in the Brad Scott years3 points

North: the team of stagers, divers and divas. Good to see Kent give that dumbass ump a serve for that idiotic ducking free kick paid against him. Of course, umps are so blind they fall for their Oscar worthy performances week in, week out. Fortunately you can't act your way into a premiership, which they'll never get close to. Oh how I'd love to win today just to get them out of the top 8, yet the result would be Essendon moving to 8th place. What a miserable conundrum.3 points

Scott Thompson is an actor, who dived down and Dawesy clipped him. Thompson was a major [censored] when i use to play against him in junior footy and he is a [censored] now still. He actually broke my arm when i was younger by swing tackling me after i got rid of the ball, there's a fun fact for ya.3 points

Rumors from the mouths of the low lives that lurk in the murky waters of Demonland, or rumors from proper sources?3 points

If he was 'goneski' then it was not extremely obvious to his teammates who voted him back into the leadership group. I cannot believe that things are continually 'obvious' to some Demonlanders but excape the attention of Roos and those inside the actual Club?3 points
