The thing to remember about all the trade sh!t..is this is only what WCE wants.. in reality it has no impact on Judds decision.

In order

Judd decides where he wants to go

Clubs sort it out!!

not other way round..

Eagles are playing a clever bluff..thats all it is !!

Too true BB. One thing in our favour is that we've had a good relationship with the Eagles when in comes to trades. We were part of the deal that saw Stenglein to the Eagles, and we picked up PJ without much fuss. We're seen as a club that's easy to deal with, unlike the Pies and Bombers.

One factor that I haven't seen mentioned is the new facility that we will have when the Olympic Park Precinct is opened. It is said to be better than the Lexus Centre.

Could very well be, although with Storm, us and the Melbourne Victory occupying it they will not be exclusive like Lexus centre. We are lucky to have a club like the Victory around because they add alot of cash, lets not forget they are only 2,000 members off the kangas this year. So they are cashed up.

However I do not think sharing the facility will make much difference.

Guys, Judd is going to Collingwood. Don't listen to the papers..they're meeting with him secretly on Monday, regardless whether they're still in the finals or not. They will get him because they are the club that can look after him after football which is something we couldn't do.

Yep. They only need to trade Pendlebury, H Shaw and Travis Cloke.

Have everything bar picks and players to offer.

Judd's not gonna screw over WCE.

I don't know who your sources are, but that's crap.

We'll be meeting with Judd before Collingwood do, firstly. Secondly, Judd won't go to Collingwood if all they haven't got early picks to give West Coast.

Collingwood are still the front runners, but they are not a done deal.

With all due respect....what a load of codwallop

On the basis of ?????

After footy...what does that mean ???????

We are just as much in the hunt as anyone !!!

There are just as many wheelers and dealers that belong to the Melbourne world as anyone. Up until now many have laid dormant but aparently things are changing..

"Apparently" "secretly"...whats all this mumbo jumbo..please...talk facts and substance...or at least reasoned ideas, not hocus pocus

Agree Jaded, i actually don't think the pies are favorites, i think we have a better chance than the pies.

I was told today that they are favourites, and I believe the person who told me as they are Melbourne people.

However, until he has met with the clubs, we won't know who is the favourite.

Collingwood is leading the race because money and financial incentives are not an issue for them. I don't believe they are such an issue for us either, however we must be willing to part with a couple of senior players at least, if we are to afford him.

As we've already discussed to death, Collingwood do have more to offer him financially and in terms of facilities etc... But that may not be what he wants most.

Chief, if you read this article

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/com...5E19742,00.html

It states there is a group comprising of high powered business men including property developers (Which is what Judd is into) that are trying to get him to the club.

the odds were posted on 10 news, Carlton red hot favorites at $1.80 then we are next at $ 8.00 I don't how much you can read into that but it seems the boos are it at the minute

Just like Connolly was red hot favourite to be our coach. Bollocks to those odds. They are based entirely on Carlton's ability to appease West Coast, and totally ignore the man himself's preference.

I just can't understand why Judd would pick Carlton. Yeah, WC are going to have an influence, but he is still going to pick a club. And is everyone forgetting that they have been a nothing club for so long and will be for another 2-3 years, even with Judd? He said it was family reasons he was coming home and that he wanted to win premierships, not money. So, by going on that, why would he pick Carlton?

Ha! He will need looking after when he finishes fotball will he? Reckon the bloke will be able to stand on his own two feet, probably can now. Sounds a lot like a rumour started by a feral who needs looking after.

if the bombers offer Gumbleton, Ryder and pick 6 then we are screwed...

that would be awesome trade for the WCE. however i doubt essendon would do this as it would seriously screw up their future for 2 years time once Fletcher, Lloyd, Mal Michael and Lucas are all going to retire

Judd hasn't spoken to Collingwood yet, so how can Collingwood be saying that he's coming to their club?

Yesterday people at Carlton were saying that they signed a deal with him 3 months ago

There is rubbish coming out of every club, and most of it is wishful thinking. I could sit here and tell you that this and this person, who knows this and this person at Melbourne, told me that Judd loves Melbourne and that they think he's coming to the Dees.

There are a million versions to this story, and none of them are coming from Judd.

For god's sake, surely Collingwood are concentrating on their finals campaign right about now.

bummers htrowing gumby and ryder n top draft pick for judd

bring it on

I wouldn't read too much in to that - Matthew Lloyd came out and said it and he would have nothing to do with the trade process. Heck, they don't even have a coach yet!! Trading Gumbleton and Ryder would screw them in the future as those two could hold down CHB and CHF for 12 years!!

Plus I'd be pretty dirty on Lloyd for coming out and using these two as bait. He did say "we would hate to lose them" but I'd still be pretty [censored] with him!

This the whole point. Whilst we know Judd is comoing to Vic..so many are building speculation on what WVE says or wants. they are NOT driving this baby !! they may not even be in the car if they dont play clever.

The WCE dont necessarily need to get squat !! they are playing poker here...quite wellas it happens as everyone is already beleiving they are holding two pair. They have NADA!! The reality is they will get somethig simply because it will be prudent to deal and get it over and done with. But Stiff backbones could break tose bastrds into littel pieces. They have no bargaining powere really because they arent in control. They are passengers!!

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
