What happened with Petty? I wasn't watching when he went off.

In doubt for next week?

Out: Petty, Taylor, Heath

In: McDonald, Lindsay, Cross/hendo

I wouldn't be dropping Taylor. All the better for the experience. Maybe just the one change for Petty

Petty concussion

at least 1 week

The weather next Friday night looks excellent.

Hope there is solid debate as to the pros and cons of playing Heath. I'm not sure

No one at Casey putting up their hand but you could make a case for Kentfield in place of Jefferson but perhaps Jeffo deserves a run to show us what he has.

TMac in place of Petty is a given

5 tackles, grew into the game. Hopefully he’s given another shot to build on this

I wouldn't be upset with this either.

Are we worried that Koz might be cited for the Answorth hit?

Dont drop Taylor.

He didnt do anything wrong and simply played his role. Anyone expecting him to show out today against one of the best forwards in the competition have far too high of unrealistic expectations on him.

taranto and rioli most likely out for them, do we give max a breather?

No, we have bye the next week

Agree. I thought he did well without standing out.

We don't have a bye until round 16

I presume Petty will miss (concussion?) in which case TMac should come back in

otherwise, no change

In: TMAC

Out: Petty

Lindsay can work his way back through the 2s and catch some form.

Laurie should get rewarded for being a steady cog in a winning team, did not do much wrong today.

Gawn can get a rest by splitting his TOG% with Heath to closer to 50/50

Heath had only 27% game time. Is it worth carrying a second ruck for that little game time?

Suspect he was a one week rental as Brisbane has historically targeted Max

Your all insane 3 inclusions after that game after the reserves got flogged. McDonald was terrible as was Petty I 'd drop him anyway even if he didn't have concussion. Heath out and Taylor out you have to be joking.

IN: Lindsay

Out: Petty

B: Howes, Lever, Tholstrup

HB: Lindsay, Turner, Langdon

C: Langford, Sparrow, Windsor

HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, Sharp

F: Fritsch, Mihocek, L.Pickett

FOLL: Gawn, Steele, K.Pickett

IC: Taylor, Culley, Jefferson, Laurie, Heath

EMERG: Henderson, Jiath, Kentfield

The split was 28, 53, 17, 14. I suspect he was set to play 40% until the game was winnable and they decided to ride Max in the final quarter especially.

I’d rather play another runner and keep Fritsch and Jeffo closer to goal. But it depends on how Max is feeling on the short back up.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
