Has not played a seniors game this season. Is not on their injury list. Looks like spare parts will be his lot.

He finally got himself ready to play but had concussion in one of their practice matches. I believe he's only just back to full training, you'd think it wouldn't be too long.

If only Collingeffingwood was in there as well to round out the bottom four

I'll be content when Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn join them to form the bottom 6.

Nah. Gold Coast. And Carlton's sends me to sleep.

Ain’t Skillda is pretty boring and repetitious - I think only 13 words, and 3 of the 4 lines repeated.

How bad are the skills and decision making in the roos bombers game... want roos to win, but gee, they make such stupid decision.

The SGL must have rocks in their heads to put on North v EssUndone as a Saturday night special.

Not sure how Essendon get out of this, been like it for years. Scott is a decent coach, maybe needs better assistants? On one of the shows they were pointing out how inexperienced their coaching panel was - but they've only got themselves to blame. Losing Giansiracusa hurt apparently.

Ask a knowledgeable Norf supporter what they think.

It really comes down to list management, and it’s mostly luck. We were one pick away from both McCartin and Parish… There were many Demonlander’s who thought they were good options at the time. Who knows where the club would be if we ended up with those two..

We didn't realise it at the time but 2021 really was the perfect storm

Hardly any injuries with a stack of players having their best year in footy. +6 in the free kick count in the GF when many were expecting a deficit of at least -6

And who would have thought that we'd handle the hubs better than most

Long bombs to the pocket worked a treat. Selfless footy a standout

It's been downhill ever since highlighted by a 6 & 8 finishing record in 2022 after starting the season 10 & 0.

We lost our way sometime in 2022

And now we're starting all over again

Rare to see Kardinia Park half empty. You can hear individual voices in the crowd.

Walk? Wtf? What is this a life be in it campaign?

EVs? What are you a [censored] soy boy [btw I’ve been driving my Atto 3 around smug AF!!!]

I’d rather not go than buy an EV!

What has de Koning bought the Saints?

A very Large Bill.

He is a good Player, but nothing special.
St.Kilda are just being St.Kilda..$1.4 Mill a year, and they paid overs for Silvagni, Why??
Their President comes across as an arrogant Fool, in regards to football matters.
By all means recruit stars of the game, Splash the Cash, but don't buy B Grade Players and put them on huge Contracts..
That's such a St.Kilda thing to do

Brisbane Smacked them so hard in the last Quarter....

Can't underestimate the advantage we had in 2021 through not having made the finals in 2020. Longer off-season break, more time for players to recover and get over injuries, etc. etc. We were flying all year and never really ran out of steam.

These are the kind of poor teams that frequently embarrassed us. Happens all too often.

Topically, once upon a time we lost twice to Carlton in a season where they only had two other wins, and it cost us a top four spot.

Very ordinary act from Xerri last night.

He's a thoroughly dislikable character.

Not sure. They have some decent players and some kids coming through. You kind of get it with clubs like North or WCE, but Essendon are a bit of an enigma to me, I don't quite get why it's still this bad.

It’s called arrogance.

Refusing to let Daniher and Merrett etc go when they wanted to leave has robbed them of 5+ first rounders who could be the foundation of their resurgence. Not to mention trading in trash players for first and second rounders as they believe they are close to successful team.

Admit you are rubbish, and rebuild through the draft. They refused and now have a worse team than 5 years ago

Essendon are like the Dees 2012, + a humungous does of arrogance.

  1. Old boys behind the scenes pulling the strings with lots of passion but no business acumen or organistional discernment.

  2. Erratic drafting system & personnel

  3. Ineffective and tragic development of young players

  4. Self delusion

But it is their arrogance that sets them apart. Dodoro being there for 20 years simply rogered their list, and they loved him, and he loved himself.

The supplements scandal. Hird's mindset continues: "I did nothing wring and I am a great coach"

Will be really interesting to see how the tribunal respond. Would not be surprised if it’s multiple weeks. He’s got recent tribunal form, and that is just a bizarre, ugly thing to do.

a lethal combination as current events is demonstrating all too clearly

There was a couple of really young players playing last night for The Bombers that had the ‘deer in the headlights’ look of being asked to play when they were nowhere near ready. It really reminded me of us in 2012/13.

Altitude sickness may be his best defence

Re essendon they still think they did nothing wrong and until they face up to that they will continue have their annual gather round beating of the demons as their season highlight.

Dumdoro would have botched the picks anyway.

Not sure why, but I genuinely feel for Merrett. He doesn’t look happy at all.

a club captain conspired to walk out on his club when they are on their knees

he should be playing in the magoos all year

Yeah that too. He should be in the twos with a game like that last night. They are a genuine chance for the spoon, when was the last time for them?

Lmao, only 31k at the Saints/Brisbane match. With all the media build up and all the words being thrown between both clubs, St Kilda could only muster up 31k…

It looked as though 5-6 thousand Brisbane/Fitzroy fans turned up. 26k Saints fan after a solid win last week is [censored] poor.

Small, irrelevant club in every sense of the words
