2025 Grand Final

Lions list is starting to rival Hawks list of 80s. Will be a very tough out for the next 5 years. Not just talent, professionalism. Tackling was perfection. Geelong looked very tentative all day, Id like to know what was behind that

How the F did Wanganeen-Milera not get a vote in the Norm Smith? Disgraceful

If you listened to Scotts presser perhaps it should have been Maibor Chol

Three very loud cheers for Brisbane! 👏👏👏

They resemble the 3 peat team of 01-03 of not finishing on top of the ladder 5th & 3rd, peaking at the right time

Another premiership where small forwards were critical. Small forwards have become more important than tall forwards.

Was just about to post the same.

Given how potent each team are and how good the weather was, save the tricky wind, the total match point line was a very low 177 points.

They blew past that, albeit late, and the TMP ended up being 197.

So, a very high scoring game.

But despite both teams having gun tall forwards, kpfs scored bugger all and had barely impact on the game.

Worth keeping in mind when the drum starts beating on us needing to bring in a gun key forward.

Just popping in to say that Kane Cornes, who often sounds like he has a boiled egg stuck in his throat, was wrong about every single thing yesterday. If he was held to the same standards he held footballers to, he'd be sacked today.

Well we can dream TD.

Welcome to the #KFAR (key forwards are roleplayers) club

We finally arrived at Noosa after 100km traffic jam and picking up two daughters and son in law at Sunshine Coast airport, we got there in time to see 1/2 the third and the last quarter. Brilliant footy from the Lions, let the Cats kick a few in Red time but a great win. We all had showers (9 of us) and headed of to Zibros restaurant to celebrate my birthday sitting outside on a lovely warm spring night. It’s a tough life but someone has to do it.😁👍

Belated birthday greetings. Nice part of the world... enjoy.

Dont let the bush turkeys get ya !!

Snoop was elite

Brisbane beating Bailey Smith, Chris Scott and Max Holmes was then next level elite.

The perfect grand final.

The Fox Footy call was so much better than the tripe turned out by the host broadcaster. Lyon and Dunstall are genuine special comments guys and Hudson and Russell despite their known affiliation with Geelong provide an unbiased and ACCURATE call. If you have FOX or Kayo I'd suggest having a listen.

As for Geelong - I hope they draw the same level of scrutiny regarding Cameron as Melbourne did with Petracca. Although not of the same severity, they knowingly played Cameron with a broken arm from late in the second quarter. Duty of Care?

Thanks Beelzebub we had two bush turkey’s sitting in the tree behind us, our rental backs onto thick scrub land and the very large noisy bats, took off at dusk and returned home around sunrise. lol.

he's one of the worst commentators going around - just a mouthbreather spewing inanities

Worth keeping in mine when the drum starts beating on us needing to bring in a gun key forward.

Looking at the prelims and grand final, it is clear that the key is fast small forwards who are good overhead. This means they can halve contests.

You need key forwards who are good on the ground and small forwards who are good in the air and everyone needs to be able to apply pressure.

Hodge for me got it right with Fletcher, watch the first half again and see Fletcher calmly repel the cats when the game was at its hottest, he drops away a little in the second half when the ball lived in the lions half. But I don’t think he wasted a single possession. He had 29 with 6 intercepts. He was BOG for me.

Yeah, I thought he was great.

Fletcher or Andrews for me but we got a mid.

I mean Ashcroft did play well but...

Yeah we're lucky because we have one of the best small forwards, but another good one would be good, but they're becoming hot property

Andrews was fantastic but against not much opposition, especially once Cameron broke his arm.

Lions won that game thru midfield dominance and brutality led by Ashcroft. Ashcroft also played well for the entire game, he dominated in every quarter.

32 touches, 10 clearances, 8 tackles, 9 inside 50s, 10 score involvements, 3 goal assists and a goal himself is elite stuff. He had a complete game.

I hope King took note of yesterday's tackling by the Lions. That was elite. Not just the power but the method.

Geelong reminded me of.... well.... us.... half hearted one handed 💩

Brisbane tackled with purpose, effect and a nice little nuance of menace .

Quite simply thats how you do it ; master-class.

I did my own research and discovered that Chris Scott and Cat Man have never been in the same room together….

Also…. Scott’s full initials are CMS… if you believe the fake news media, you’d think that stood for Chris Michael Scott… but no… it actually stands for CAT MAN SOVCIT.

And what does AFL ACTUALLY stand for…. Not Australian Football League like all the sheeple believe…. It’s real name is ALL F’KING LIES…

WAKE UP….

Wonder

Their salary cap is going to be a squeeze over the next few years.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
