Success in the MCC Ballot sees me attending. Hoping for a close game but think Cats just that level above.

With Collingwood being eliminated, my Grand Final has already been won and I no longer have any passionate interest.

I'm not terribly fussed about the winner but an entertaining, close game would suit.

Head says probably Geelong, heart says hopefully Brisbane.

Stuff Brisbane, they’re getting egos.

Gotta back the Victorian team.

And no, they’re not considered Victorian because of Fitzroy. Move along grandpa.

I thought Morris and Gallop were too inexperienced and lacked height to be effective as tall forwards in the finals but have done very well so far. Brisbane has not missed Hipwood their only real tall forward. Geelong losing Stewart is a bonus for Brisbane.

At least it's not [censored] Collingwood or [censored] Hawthorn.

And Geelong are still 3 flags behind us.

Nice to see some new teams in the grand final for a change.

Lions have the better midfield and big game players.

Cats without Stewart. Neale a chance to play. Reville will be stiff to be dropped if he makes it

Only reason for me not to go for Lions is they could end up winning 4-5 flags all up with this team especially when you add in Ridley, Allen, Draper

Am I right saying Brisbane and Geelong have never met in GF?

Putting these two thoughts together;

Brisbane 6, Geelong 6, so just shy of 50% of grand finals this century have included one of these teams. In fact 2025 tips it over the half.

Didn't expect that parity of appearances, actually. Brisbane had something like 15 years of struggling in there. I enjoy knowing that overall Chris Scott really has underperformed in finals.

Should be a good grand final.

Hope so ... I'm going.

Last years was a shocker. From memory I left early.
