I was at the prelim. On the evidence of that game I wouldn't touch Mihocek with a barge pole.

I was in hospital. On the evidence of that game I wouldn’t touch Mihocek with a sterilized barge pole either

Hey Joeboy are you alright?

He’ll be way better next year than what he showed yesterday.

However I’d only get him here on minimum chips which is what Collingwood are offering, in which case he may as well stay at Collingwood.

Aside from Elliott who is an absolute star, I don’t reckon the Pies have a particularly great forward line.

McRae said after the game they have offered him 2 years.

I hope he stays.

We are obviously not capable of trading in younger key forwards

Mihocek for May. No salaries being subsidised either way.

Get it done.

Yeah but Mihocek IS A FREE AGENT😁

playing with a torn tendonin his toe ( I believe)

Lions somehow find & develop young key forwards vs us targeting older 32 yo & trying to get Daniher out of retirement

It’s a good thing experts don’t judge a player on one game only

Gee it's frustrating to see teams like Brisbane pick up key forwards with late picks like Morris and Gallop and watching them thrive, while guys like Jefferson have barely had a taste of AFL football and haven't looked at the level required.

I like Mihocek, and desire his efforts tonight, I genuinely think he'll be good for us next season. But relying on him, a 34 year old Jake Melksham and once again Fritta (I expect Kozzy's contribution to dry up with more midfield time) to kick our goals should be a wake up call to the recruiting department who have been drafting our key forwards with early picks of late.

All these new Pies players I’ve not heard of😅

Have you not?

Pendleton actually has a background in Basqueteball.

I think we’ll find out the true quality of our KPF stocks once we devise a proper method to deliver the ball to them. I’m very hopeful king can get this right.

You’d call Tim Lamb an expert ? He’s closer to useless

Never said Lamby was an expert. Didn’t imply it either. My point was the poster is not an expert, clearly so because writing a player off based on one game is not the wont of an expert.

Kynan Brown's delisting has freed up the number 41 jumper.

Mihocek's game yesterday was his first mission as a Demon sleeper agent.

Recruiting blokes called Brody/Brodie from Collingwood is a guaranteed success.

All the signs are there, people.

Whilst I don’t believe BM will be the best pick up we could have, I think he would be handy.

Tonight people are ripping into him, when he’s up against one of the best defence teams in the game, who won it last year and are in another gf. Bit still to be saying “rubbish idea”.

Have a look at our forward line and tell me we don’t need as much help as possible.

Totally agree with your last paragraph. Anyone is better than no one.

To be honest when I watched last night’s game my only interest was in seeing Collingwood losing. Didn’t notice BM at all!

I actually had to double check this morning the team lists from last night’s game to see if he actually played….but having said that I’d still take him

Personally I love “Penedles.” Would make a great pet name. Look out, my precious little bantams, one of you is about to be re-named. 😅

Hope you are ok Joeboy and on the mend, from whatever caused you to be there.

A mini rebuild and we pick up a 33yo banged up forward that always plays injured

No thanks

I think.some are missing a much better picture.

We're not winning a flag in 26.. ( highly doubtful anyway ) . 27 might nudge finals a bit.

We need to rebuild. As such you need 'scaffolding' ... need to help facilitate the progress of others. They might already be on board... might be coming 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

A player like Mihocek needs respect by opponents defence. This provides opportunities for developing forwards.

Mihocek isn't the solution.. he ( or someone ) is part of the framework to developing it.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
