I don’t remember being as angry watching the footy as I watched the quarter. So May wasted opportunities and then that missed call 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

HOW THE HELL CAN ALL 4 UMPIRES MISS THAT TRIP!!! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Agreed

I can’t remember being this furious

You just know we’ll lose by a goal or two and we’ll be thinking of these ump decisions and missed shots

What's done is done but we should be 4 goals up.

Umpires what tha fug are you guys watching out there?

Kozzie legged clear as fuggin day.

Set shot kicking is killing us.

The game is completely on our terms and we are failing to punish these social media, cuckold thriving pretenders.

We have an absolute diamond in Harvey "Langers" Langford. God bless him.🙌

Oh FFS. This is such a vacuous, superficial take.

How so, we clearly have 3 tall fwds in fritsch, jvr and Jeffo that can’t hit the side of a barn door, and Jeffo and fritsch have offered 0 in any other regard, what was the thinking in going with the extra tall

Edited by Garbo

First half....The Hawks were ordinary but we were worse forward of centre.

Bar Langers & Koz our kicking at goal would have to go down as some of the worst you could ever wish to see from any team to have ever played the game.

First game I have seen us play for a while and apart from our kicking at goal we have been good. I really hope we win this.

Adams for Jeffo = Turner forward

Massive SC blunder

After calming down a little…

it’s great that we seem to be a competitive team again after that first month

The only way it’s possible to get that Kozzie trip call so wrong is if the multiple umpires in the area weren’t watching the play. That’s just plain incompetence.

Speaking of incompetence: how’s our goal kicking going? If we lose this match it will 100% be because of all the misses in Q2. I can’t see Hawthorn allowing the dominance we had in that quarter to continue, so we may pay very dearly.

Isn’t that trip a reportable offence? Should get a week for that.

Umpires every week are royally screwing us over. Every week .

Possibly. It's certainly unsportsmanlike. Kos was running into an open goal and that was not a genuine attempt at a tackle.

️ Kolt on for Jeffo

️ Swap Turner & JVR

Lol at the umpiring pathetic.

We will win this still, flood gates will open

You may miss the Kozzie trip but what about Sicily throw? Two obvious AF frees.

Umpiring will define the result of this game - already has to a certain extent. Hawks have had two cheapies from frees that were not there.

Langford on track to become our best ever midfielder lol

Don't Lol.
Just might be true if we can keep him.

Nothing but projection. Adams has never played an AFL game, instead of being a "solution" he could just as easily be out of his depth and put in a shocker.

Should be leading, umpire missed trip & holding the ball

Yeah you can blame that, but our kicking for goal has been woeful.

Imagine that in the last quarter of a Grand Final.

It absolutely is. He will be reported, and then fined I reckon. Which will be a gutless outcome.

Can't see us winning this. No Viney, Melksham, Petty (or Turner) or at the other end, Lever is just a step too far. In an ideal world JVR would still be back in the VFL getting his game (back) together. As for Jefferson ... hard to see.

Olivier looking a bit lost out there, he only knows one way to play.

Inaccuracy not helping. Missed some very easy shots.

I want the Kolt. How the hell is Sharp on instead of him?

We're playing well but thank Christ for Koz and Harvey.

Our forward line functions about as well as the jokes on bounce

Official complaint needed to umpiring needed

Green should beeline for media at end of game and make that case

There is no excuse for that incompetance - none.

Geez our kicking at goal is not acceptable. Allllllll the way back to the 2022 and 23 seasons especially 2023 finals

Must be addressed

Showing my age but I feel like I need to put on the

Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses

every time we have a shot on goal :(

Oliver lowered his eyes a couple of times which was good to see.

Tracc is playing well but geez he's put some dump kicks down Sicily's throat

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
