3 touches for the quarter including 1 tackle. I'm keen to know on what merit was he judged as one of our higher rated players for that quarter.

Just keen to see AJ or JVR in for Fullarton, need Turner in the backline too but not sure who makes way that's a tough one.

May’s problem is that he gets injured every second week and can’t get any continuity in his footy. Always looks like he’s hobbling on the filed.

I think it's time we put games into players we see as being part of our next flag. Get some momentum going and we look a better team faster.

May looks sore all over, has done since Chol broke his ribs. I'd be resting him as much as possible over the season and really working on his mobility in the hope he can influence our last 8 games along with his side kick Lever.

Good to see the Eagles have 4 days less break.

In this team, shots at goal should not be a determining factor in selection - it’s just not how the rewards settle from when we play our best. Chandlers manic pressure at one point led to a Petracca goal that CP5 pointed at Gawn for a competent handball - but it was Chandler - and the pressure applied by our other forwards - that brought about that goal. A goal that reads out to Petracca with a goal assist from a ruckman.

Sure, it’s based on the Wheelo ratings system.

I cannot speak to the merit of the system but if you go back and rewatch the 3rd quarter you’ll see his first touch was the beautiful low kick inside 50 to Koz that resulted in the first goal of the quarter. Probably one of our best deliveries so far this year and likely the biggest factor in his high score. He had several more touches—5 by my count—including a couple of nice handball chain disposals inside 50. He also provided nice pressure throughout the quarter and was consistently where he needed to be—he was wide open inside 50 on the Langdon delivery that went to Kolt.

Spargo has some nice moments, but has some bad ones as well. Given his low disposals per game, he is mostly a passenger.

At this point, no one at Casey is putting their hand. I’d like to see Sestan given a go. Better and longer kick, bigger, stronger and has more class. He seems to have upped his game at Casey. Albeit in the backline

Sharp rarely gives more than the player he replaces.

With a tall we can manage May and Gawn a lot better

I thought sharp was one of only a few who actually was having a dip in the last 15 minutes. Sure he was fresh, but he got involved I thought.

I don't hate Sharp as a sub/bottom 6 but I'd love to find someone better. Brown? Sestan? Laurie? Woewodin? No one knocking doors down as yet.

On the eye test I would not have picked him at all. You said he had 5 touches when he actually only had 3 as listed on AFL stats.

Imo there were at least 10 other players that were far better then Spargo in the 3rd quarter i thought. Actually ten is probably being kind.

Waterman killed us last time from memory. We struggle with tall fwd lines....

The eye test for me said he was influential in that quarter. Just shows we all see the game differently.

Given what happened last time we played them, we have to make sure we don't underestimate what they can do.

Thankfully Yeo is still likely to be out so stopping Harley and Elijah Hewett will be key along with nullifying Liam Baker's infuence.

I thought Goody made some clever moves late against the Tigers, resting Gawn and May to preserve them along with making sure Lindsay, Langford and Kolt weren't in danger of burnout.

In so doing, it should have highlighted the need to have at least one more tall in our line up - sure we got away with against Fremantle when we lost Turner and we got away with it against Richmond because we had such a healthy lead and we might get away with it against the Eagles, but it's certainly not the right way of doing things when we come up against the good sides in the next few weeks.

And it's not fair on Gawny to expect him to have to be everywhere and keep presenting. The Eagles have two rucks and Flynn will definitely try and maul him and Jack Williams has a huge leap and looks promising. They also have a dangerous forward in Waterman and Gov is still a gun, albeit an old one. And Harry Edwards adds to their wealth of height, even if they lack a bit of talent. So it's time Goodwin looked after Gawny and if the big fella tells him that playing two rucks doesn't work, then he just has to ask himself what's his midfield going to look like without an injured Gawny. And what's mega frustrating is that Tom Campbell was so impressive all pre-season and it counted for nothing because we keep fearing another another Gawndy scenario. But the problem with Gawndy was that Gawn came first and played ruck when Grundy can only play one position and it ain't forward. What we need to do is start TC and then sub him out at three quarter time.

Thankfully now we have all seen Fullarton and Jefferson (first two weeks) in action so that we don't have to ever play them again until they have muscled up. It's not a crime if they can't - some guys just don't have the bodies and physicality to make the AFL.

I think we all have now seen enough of Harry Sharp that we can say that his light frame also doesn't allow him to break tackles or stick them well enough. He's a great runner and maybe there will be a game or two in weeks to come where he can tag someone, but as a small forward/wingman he's limited. It's time for Goody to move on this one.
