Fritsch is making Harry McKay look like a player that’s actually worthy of the contract he is on.

Why would anyone back Goodwin?

Maybe they are waiting for the new coach? Not the first time I would see a playing group giving up on their coach.

he needs to go but the players have an obligation to do what they are well paid to do

The "love" mantra is a crock of [censored]. We've [censored] ourselves royally. After 2021 we talked ourselves up as a dynasty in the making. Hubris exploded with that rearward looking GF MCG big screen replay event during the 2022 preseason. We had the 2022 Entrecote debacle, rumours of off field issues, etc. Signs of resentment building, and no wonder. Imagine being a broad number of our mid-tier premiership players negotiating contracts and being told that the salary cap was tight, while they look across to millin-dollar mids either going off the rails or cracking the sads and getting Presidents and CEOs sacked.

No wonder we have a field of players with no unity or system or trust or confidence.

And don't get me started on the osteopath cosplaying as Burgess in our fitness dept.

Spot on, those big contracts can split the group & the restaurant debacle, cap issues no doubt impacting on trading in big names & losing players Jordan, Bedford etc we are a mess again interim president & CEO it’s a disgrace

This is a Broken Team/Club right now

Disharmony on multiple levels, it has to be. Nobody is giving a rats anymore.

This should be Goodwin’s last assignment…

I will not be attending another home game this year to sit & watch that served up. Next year’s membership renewal is not going to happen either. GAGF MFC.

that should read ‘night’

I’m at the ground watching this car wreck in slow motion. How can our skills be so deplorable? We might not win a game all year if this is what we produce.

Just saw some vision of all of our forwards sitting together talking. Wonder what they are taking about?

What they’ll do on Hindley Street tonight

I haven’t been to one game this year. And don’t plan to. Until he’s gone

The sad thing is they are trying !! just skills and confidence shot to pieces !!!!!!!!

I don’t know what game you are watching. They are playing for themselves. Players burning each other , no one is chasing. Disp efficient is not that bad .

Petty laughing show where the mindset is

Petty laughing his [censored] off while Max was delivering the speech before the start of the 2nd half. 😡

Just spent two hours getting a sick toddler to sleep. Then the TV and see the score. Seems like more of the same from this group? Belted around the ball and bombing to a congested forward line?

Is f50 still around ? We could have struck up a sponsorship and put them on the gurnesy so we at least have some connection

Petty forward again lmao

Coaches just throw [censored] at the wall and see what sticks

We'll be playing in Port Augusta next year for the Gather round, we won't be worthy of the Barossa.

We're actually becoming an embarrassment to the AFL.

There's been some ripping games across this round but we are just dragging it down.

I'm sorry to say but history shows that's how we roll.
The club is simply unable to handle or sustain any sort of success.
A true basket case.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
