In that article, Robbo makes this extraordinary comment:-

1. I don’t believe this accurately reflects the situation.

2. The comment more accurately describes public reaction to Robbo’s dismissal from AFL360.

Ahhhh good riddance

Ok, now go get Bartel

Bartel is head of footy at Caulfield Grammar. He won't be working for Melbourne too...

Those that cannot praise Pert for the part he played in us winning a flag are just embarrassing themselves

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the change and he has made mistakes but he was here from 2018-2024 and played an important role in us being financially stable and winning a flag

Be the same people who put the 2021 flag down as a fluke or Yze’s coaching

The guy is delusional.

I still remember him carrying on like he is now a week before Mark Neeld was sacked stomping his foot around telling everyone what a great coach Neeld was, and was openly critical of anyone here who said otherwise.

This is Saty at his absolute element.

Favourite word, meaning- doesn't agree with Daz.         actually Neeld was a good coach tactically but lost the players, tried to be Malthouse and that era had passed...why Malthouse was the disaster at Carlton.

Element -  trying to put an alternate viewpoint, and not being bullied or cowed by the small cohort who seem to think they rule this forum.

Pert needs to be praised for what he did for this club, same with Roffey, it became inevitable both would be out....just to give Brad Green and the new Board some clear air.

Hopefully the Footy Dept will get their [censored] together this year.

Of course we shouldn’t expect or need both the new CEO and Board interfering with on field issues, the one concern I have with Steve Smith.

Of course I am at a disadvantage as I don't have Morris, Barrett et al on my social media notifications, so I can't parrot their opinions, interestingly I form my own

So, what was there to communicate about?

We were informed about the court cases.

Some on here are seriously sad.

It is better to not to give oxygen to media stories.

Brad Green is communicating to clear the air from all the rubbish that has been floating around.

Wait... so you are suggesting the last administration had good communication to the supporters?

We were entering the era of the modern player, shouting or openly criticising doesn't work.

I sat directly behind him at a Darwin game, what he was saying made sense but not the way it was delivered.

Another protege Scott, can't remember the surname,  had the same issue at St Kilda.

Watters - didn't last long at the Saints because he was a very ordinary coach and appalling with player relations.

I held the view that the moment Pert started calling clubs directly to shop Oliver following Goody and Gawn speaking about how they love him and back him, a divide was created that could only end with one of Pert or Goodwin leaving the club.

Hnmm one leg of the daily double has sailed!

Depends on whether supporters could be arsed reading anything.

Perfect example, I sponsor one of the younger players, until he made his debut, supporters would say who when they asked who I sponsored

Most are only knowledgeable about the game on the weekend and whether the team wins, of course impacting their multi.

I have plenty of communications fro the Club, about important things, not giving oxygen to media waffle

A degree in social work is not going to run a multi million dollar football club.

Lol, do a bit more research

I'm sure there is a clause for an AFL position if it arises

ummmmm ... why?

Quite ....

I think that this decision by Gary Pert is the best for all parties.

He did a great job for numerous years at the Demons as CEO.

However, for whatever reason, things sadly seemed to unravel after our Premiership glory in 2021.

Was it hubris? Was it drinking our own bath water? Was it the excitable belief of a "Demons Dynasty?"

Anyway, the alleged "shopping around" of Clayton Oliver this off-season and the odd falsehood saying the Demons had "the best culture he had ever seen" was probably the beginning of the end for Gary Pert.

Nevertheless, I am glad he is staying on in a consultancy role for our Home Base at Caulfield Racecourse.

I wish Gary Pert all the best in his future retirement.

Hopefully, we choose an excellent candidate to take over as the Demon's new CEO in season 2025.

Imagine supporting a boring club, at least there’s something always happening at the MFC to get us through the off season.

Who is this boring club you speak of, deadly curious, any club with a pulse has a bin fire somewhere. Only boring club I can think of is Tasmania as they don't have a single contracted player, Just Brendan, Grant, a board and a comms/membership team (who probably misbehave on weekends as well).

Oh dear, had to make it personal again Daz, disappointed he' s gone, did some great things for club, thought it may be inevitable, give the club some clear air.

Glad he will be still involved with Caulfield

Of course something more disappointing and inevitable is some of the ungracious [censored] posted by some.

I'm surprised you & Goffy haven't already started a petition to bring Roffey & Pert back.

If I was a billionaire I can confirm there would be no issue with funding the home base...

If I was a multi-billionaire I’d buy an entire suburb, build a training base and give each player a ‘rehabilitation building’…………that’s no different than what Geelong do, right?

I’d just make the point that if the man involved in the review couldn’t save his job it’s indicative that a change was well overdue.

"Green said the review did not recommend Pert go."
